Roast Beef Rare

roast beef (rare) had looks beyond compare
his face was rosy and blush
without a trace of stubble or gristle
he was suave and clean
a beef lovers dream
hard and lean a macho machine
gleaming
dreaming
scheming of a way to seduce Phyllis Filet

roast beef (rare) met Phyllis filet on a gray day
the were standing in line at the slaughterhouse gate
small talking
awaiting their fate
as the inched their way closer to endeavor the cleaver
they felt so much lust they were encrusted in fever
burning to escape the date of their fate
they devised a plan
a slaughterhouse scam

they executed the plan with lightning force
Phyllis wiggled over and started flirting with a horse
she glowed
her words flowed as she took him for a ride
roast beef (rare) felt a swelling of pride
he knew when Phyllis caressed the horses tail
that there'd be no way that their plan could ever fail
that they'd soon be romping in greener pastures
both of them getting just what they were after

they flung on a fling
high
low
every which way but loose
Phyllis the poor dear conceived a papoose
a bouncing baby beef to be or not to be
that was her dilemma
after she found out that roast beef (rare) was infested with salmonella

Life Is a Song

my desire for you blossoms like a flower
gently unfolds grows stronger by the hour
my love has no limits my love has no demands
when it comes down to loving me you're my superman

you walked into my life answered my prayers
showered me with love I've craved my whole life long
slaying my defenses you chased away the blues
turned my life around turned my life into a song

life is a song there's no denying
whenever you're near music starts flying
your love strikes a chord deep makes me feel whole
life is a song rock and roll soul

before I met you I had two left feet
I couldn't hear loves music I tripped up on the beat
now I'm kicking up my heels dancing up a storm
following loves lead life is a song

melody ecstasy filling me thrilling me

soaring on a high note to heaven above
life is a song a symphony of love

Home

when we were touching I was blushing from a blushing inner glow
radiating from the depths of my soul
no longer searching no longer alone
for the first time in my life my heart has a home

home is my salvation where I lay my fears to rest
when life tosses me those curves tosses me those tests
home is where desire flies twenty four seven
homes a soul asylum that gets my spirit revving

homes a castle without hassles without any moats
on the same wavelength our love stays afloat
homes comfy and cozy knick knacks galore
from all the ports we traveled to sailing shore to shore

homes the aroma of soul food cooking in the oven
the echo of laughter after serious loving
homes a foundation of love reinforced by devotion
with no ceiling for feeling the rainbow of emotion

The Notion of Devotion

when you slammed loves door said goodbye
I thought the carousel of love had passed me on by
living on my own I didn't think that I'd survive it
swallowing the truth I fought to deny it

weighed down by a mountain of fear
it took months before the fog began to clear
as time passed by I came to the conclusion
love I thought was tried and true was just an illusion

I was in love with the fantasy of love
in love with the notion of devotion
since we severed the ties realities opened my eyes
I was in love with the notion of devotion

I tried to change you turn you into a man
all you did was ignore me sit on your can
walking on eggshells nothing I did was ever right
all we did was argue nit pic and fight

what I ever saw in you remains to be seen
loving you was a nightmare that destroyed all my dreams
the day you walked out on me you set my heart free
you were the cause of all my misery

Plastic Petals

open my petals
gaze down inside
when you look deep within I can no longer hide
