You Said Yes

1.30.17. // 8:54 A.M.

And that day, I told you I was glad
that you made up your mind.
You just kinda laughed
but you didn't say anything.
After 30 seconds of silence,
peacefully holding hands,
with my head resting on your shoulder,
I asked you if you were glad
that you made up your mind.
You said yes.
I asked if you were happy
with where we were.
You said yes.
But obviously you weren't,
because that night,
you said you didn't know
if you liked me anymore.
And not only did you break UP with me,
but you broke ME.
You broke my heart.
And you broke us.

and I wished

Numb

1.19.17.// 2:53 P.M.

You are the drug I should've resisted,
I should have stopped, but I insisted.
So now I'm high off of your laugh
and time stops like a photograph.
In your eyes, I see my dreams,
though things aren't always as they seem.
Now I am yours, and you are mine,
but then we're not at the same time.
I'm so clingy, and you're so not,
and after days I feel so caught.
But I don't want to get attached,
like a lock with no key already latched.
I like you more than you'll understand,
my feelings for you are like quicksand.
The more I move, the faster I sink,
I must stay calm and just not think.
And now you're more than just my drug,
you're my addiction, and I can't unplug.
You're my favorite thing that makes me smile,
but there's not that much inside that file.
Though you are still the number one,
for anyone else, I'd have been done.
You said that you like me a lot,
though then your story was not bought.
But now I see you really do,
and I feel the same towards you too.
Now without you, I'd feel so numb,
so we will see what's yet to come.

Im Not Cinderella

Love stories always tell you lies
Things that never compare to real life
They tell you untrue things and it leaves you with a surprise
Then words cut like a knife

They tell you all dreams come true
That if you believe you can succeed
That it is all up to you
forget the lies they force feed

The truth is you don't need a prince to save the day
Sometimes dreams aren't going to happen
You can make your own way
You can be your life's own captain

So forget all the tall tales
And embrace lives fails

And oh my God, the second I saw him, my mind went blank. All I could think of, was how beautiful his eyes were. Sometimes they're blue, sometimes they're green, and sometimes they're a perfect blend between the two. And when he was standing right there, right in front of me, in the perfect lighting, there they were. His beautiful green eyes, with a yellow-ish tint to them, shining perfectly in the sun. I could stare into them for hours, if I could. As I stood there and admired him, the way he laughs, the way he closes his eyes and shakes his head, looking down. And then he opened them again, and looked at me. By force of habit, I looked away, but I wish I hadn't. And I'll have you know, that we don't lock eyes often, but when we do, oh God, I swear I'm close to heaven.

Fail Mistaken For Love

I broke your heart, and you broke mine.
I guess we loved at the wrong time.

I thought I fell in love with you,
but love is just a game for two.

We'd fight all night because of her,
then everything was just a blur.

Apologies, and midnight talks,
daylight masks, and memory walks.

I know that you deserve much more,
because with me you hit the floor.

I hope you know I love you still.
I always have, and always will.

Emotions

Emotions
What do you do when their hearts with another
And there is nothing you can say
Do you talk to a brother
Or ask him to stay

And the days roll by one after another
And you can't stand another day
But you let them stay with some other
So you keep your emotions at bay

Choices

What do you do, when there is two,
both of which, you want?
Both with pros, and both with cons,
Each of them perfect, in their own individual way.
The more you think, the more you’re stressed,
but one is weighing you down.
With cuts and bruises, they’re scarring you too,
while the other is helping you sustain.

What do you do when there is two,
both of which you want?
One is my anchor, pulling me down,
the more I struggle to free myself.
The other is my toxin, I continue to breathe in more,
puncturing my lungs and my heart.
Both are addictive, but I have to pick one,
Should I continue with the one I have,
or move on and start over with the other one?

What do I do when there is two, both of which I want?

Story of My Life

Story of my life
As he walked in the room it lit up
He made it seem like time stopped
He was like the sun on a cloudy day
The room went dead silent
When he spoke his voice boomed
He spoke and everyone listened
He was the world to me
It was ALMOST love at first sight
Like Cinderella descending the staircase
He had me seeing stars
Then boom I fell to my doom
He took what I had left of me
He kept my heart in an iron prison
With no way to escape
In its impossible captivity
Many useless ways to escape
My heart cried out in pain
With sorrow and grief evident
I could have died of heartbreak
My heart useless to fight anymore
Is there any escape?

The Reasons Why

You dont understand why I like you
That's okay because neither do I
There are so many things about you
I can't seem to choose why
Is it your smile surrounded by deep dimples
Or your hair that frames your face
how you always leave a smile on my face
There’s no one like you around
You keep my head up in the clouds
But my feet on the ground
You make me feel like I can fly
So next time you ask
I can tell you why
