Life, Unkind

Life, is he unkind
When my sweat can't clean my mind
And my hands can't hold the time
It's hard to make things rhyme
B'cos life is not that kind

At times we get very high
Observe the world with an eagles eye
Riding on colorful swag of her wings
....and then life, becomes all things
And life, is not that unkind

When times change, did life move?
When wings fade, is life rude?
As with age, taught some wisdom
And some with time are gone

Life is not kind nor unkind
The meaning of front comes from behind
All cannot fall into the right line
Not when life is time

My Love Story

Anytime I try to solve this love in my head
My heart beats faster like its running out of my chest
I try to play my best songs to calm my nerves
The songs take me deeper, from east to west

Anytime I close my eyes to see your face
Feel the sweet comfort of your embrace
…I am yet to see, my eyes weep
…I wish I could sleep

I am sick when I fall in love
My blood streams run faster than the ocean
An ocean of passion and dark skies above
Not sure of what it has in accumulation
I am sick and dying, dying slowly
Dying in love has been my story

Nomakanjani

I cannot think about it,
What I feel right now
But I can tell you the story
After I take my bow

My heart is broken
The mender is not around
My ego is downtrodden
Can't get a place on the ground

It is well, it is well
That's my ringtone
It is well, it is well
Says the call from home
Nomakanjani, we'll be well to say
It is well everyday

Re: Lies

I can trace every ink
even in darkness I blink
I understand every dance
I can tell what is in your trance

I dream your dream
fetch your words from a stream
I see the dirt clearly
but in it i love you dearly
Lo a garment over your nipple
But i know
Your soul is lost in Limbo
My girl i know
I will bring you back to life
and bring you by my side
in a short sermon you'll know
how much i love this show

I am not hurt for what i know
the real tree with good and evil
I was in the show
and Eve denied the devil
Love in betrayal
Even when she said a silent prayer
the answer was 'I KNOW'

A Song Without Sound

I know you don’t write
So I’ll write for you
I’ll do things right
E’thing, E’day just for you

I don’t forget things
… the special ones found in you
The eyes, ass, hips and lips
…can’t imagine enough of you

But yeah, I’m dating you without you
I’m in love with just me in it
E’day I wish for opposites
Good things are good but
not without pain in the butt

Seeds of Poison

Home is broken
She’s on her knees
Tomorrow’s mouth is open
We are not ready for this

It is evil
We were too hungry to see
We groomed, planted and watered the seeds
We are sowing poison for our people

The seeds we planted will poison us
They are growing
They grow vicious
Hungry, desperate and vile
A generation after our shared insanity
Will flood us like the Nile

Slaves To Life

We had no choice to be born
How, when and where to come
But freedom is my right

I’m forced to be strong and lively
My weakness is termed lazy
Personal liberty is my right, right?

We are living but we fear death
For the living it’s an unpaid debt
Who can’t choose when to live or die
The slave master of the living is life
