I Was a Fool

I was a fool to think you were a friend,
I have to admit you are good at pretend.
I opened my heart and the door to my home,
now I just want you to leave me alone.

You took advantage of me big mistake
you thought I had a heart that was able to break.
You had a plan all along to deceive
I was a fool, ignorant and naïve
You mistook my kindness for weakness; unfair
I gave you everything that I could spare
I hope you get what is coming soon
Karma will need a whole day to take care of you.

For you I didn't dare let out one single tear
if anything my eyes have opened, now I see clear
I will not forget and I refuse to forgive
I will move on, I'll continue to live
I hope this wakes you up in your sleep
I was the one that was worth it to keep.
Now you'll never know what could have been
you could've had the lawn that's always green.

My Vow

I believe that when you die
you will live again
in another life, not remembering.
Have you ever heard of an "old soul"
that's what I am.

I believe that there is the same person
that you unconsciously seek in every life
every gut feeling, every universe pull
it tries to steer you in the direction of your soulmate.
it tries.

When you find this person
they really mean it you just "know"
you can't explain it
you've seen them before
its a feeling you get looking into their eyes
its like your hearts speak to each other
you are so comfortable so content
they are like no other.

We've been through battles
we've grown together
you are my best friend
and I will love you forever

I promise to be loyal,
to be faithful and true
because you are my soulmate
and I'm so grateful I found you.
