To Write a Poem For Class

In my class one day,
I had to write, more work, no pay,
all I wanted to do was play,
but eight sentences were due today.

So I sat down at my surface pro 3,
to write, but nothing came to me.
In the end I had to admit
that I might be bad at this, just a little bit.

So I was at the computer, my hands on the keys,
but pretty soon I was on my knees,
praying for an idea,
pretty please.

But not even the cherry on top gave me,
that sweet, lyrical key,
to regaining my lost dignity.

Why couldn’t I think,
of a good idea
Hey wait, that rhymes,
with Ikea.

Finally I had a wonderful idea,
about Bob’s great journey,
to Ikea.

But alas, it proved to be a flop,
nothing quite rhymed,
with a guy named Bob.

The day was really almost over,
my deadline about to roll me over.
I was up all night ‘till I had a thought,
the material I need I already got!

A firsthand account,
of the horror,
that goes on for,
an academic learner.

So I sat at my desk,
and broke the fourth wall,
and wrote my story.
I was having a ball!

And so I uploaded this poem,
onto the internet,
for some sucker to use,
on his next project.
