My Love

My love is like a flower, it grows, it flourishes, it thrives, it shrivels up and dies.
New seeds fall and sprout new pods, these pods meet and take the odds.
I’ll bet my heart away each day and wait for the one who’ll take me away.
Grace said how can you? But I can, you see, it’s a part of me.
I can’t explain it so, it’s such a mock, I suppose that’s my woe.
I’ll keep searching for my only hope, who’ll help me work out my place in this world.

Heads and Hearts

Hearts and Heads
Every tear has a story, every lover a broken heart. Every man and woman a path to walk.
So many words go left unsaid, we dare not expose our lack of pride, our ego works the heart.
To feel with your head or your heart, to feel with one or the other, not both. You feel with your heart, just like I do.
Every bird takes in a view, every lover has a past. How about we look forward and least not spend time dwelling on what’s past.
You can’t go backwards, I’ve tried, I asked god if he’d allow it and he told me that I’d lost my mind. Past experiences shape us to be who we are today, and I’m glad because he told me I was sound of heart and head.
You woke me up, you shook me up, I won’t forget your love.
