Emma Caparula Poem
A melody that sounds so simple and clean
And describes such impossible, magical scenes
Lyrics with a strikingly obvious innuendo
That make you wonder if drugs make your mind grow
The euphoria displayed seems something of a dream
Composed of a rainbow color scheme
What could have been going on in their heads
Considering all the nonsense that they said
A woman who flies across the sky
With diamonds and the sun in her eye
The psychedelic impact they made
Caused a musical and societal total upgrade
The best band of all time, some might say
With innovative songs and constant radio play
Still a fan based composed of millions of people
50 years later and we still worship The Beatles

Emma Caparula Poem
Emma was asleep in
an unrealistically graceful position
It had much to do with
the calmness she felt
as she listened to the sound of rain
hitting her window
It seemed her mind was always so
congested
that the slightest moment of peace
brought about
an intense euphoria
So the moment at which she fell asleep was
the only pure one of
the entire day

Emma Caparula Poem
Trees have a certain way of
making me wish that my ancestors never
stomped on the Native Americans'
ground and took away
its natural beauty
While I can't go back and
change American history
I can attempt to create peace
Between myself and nature
I can give myself a second chance
at understanding the way
life is meant to be
