Wipe Our Tears

I found myself
in a prison
Detained by others
My talks hindered by teasers
My life threatened by murderers
My skin hates sunlight
But I use to bask myself in it
For protection
Oh!!! I cant go to the forest
Where I can comfort my skin
Am afraid to be murdered with somebody's keen
I also love recreation
But I cant go to to recreate myself
Am afraid of a certain human wolf
Eyes staring at my home
Stuck to it like glue on a thing
They wish to catch me
I don't have a permanent home for safety
By then, how many rights have you violated to me?
Our bodies have become mines
Where our bones are minerals
All because of brutality

Things they always forget
God created us as one
We all inhale Oxygen
And Exhale Carbon Dioxide
We are all eligible to develop the nation
They dont know I can serve the world from its ruins
If our rights are protected
Is lacking melanin an issue???
But why??? but why???God created everyone with a purpose
When you are killing us
You are killing our purposes
You are troubling our souls
You are killing leaders

As a humane family
We breathe the same air
We are just nothing else
Than brothers and sisters
A heart has no color
No sex or the like
We are just a mixed branch
Nobody is Prototype
Whose characteristics are valid for everybody
Each one is unique
Each one is precious
Each one is needed
And healing never works with dark energy
Healing works by love
This is what all should do; love each other.

My Malawi - Independence Day Poem

We were not a nation, but just a continent
Africa with kingdoms
then, we violently got segmented and detached by people who never understood us
we were sliced as if we were bread,
then, one precious piece appeared,
a sweet-potato shaped
only to find itself locked as a puzzle
we were given a colonial name, a colonial anthem, and a colonial currency
It’s funny how I also write in the colonial language, and I put it as my fluency
we were enslaved,
in our homeland
but also, we were sent to their lands
we were abused to the core, and we burnt out as coal
as my great grandfather narrated of the “Thangata System”
we were deceived that they discovered our rivers, lakes and mountains
it’s funny that we were using them before
naming became a discovery,
and fresh generations are still indoctrinated with the deception
We forgave, but our history cannot be erased
We have moved, but we have pains
Our history is not pleasing, it’s hard pressing
We were taken for granted
As if we are not a people
Not a secret, we were called “monkeys”
Our dignity was lost
Then we gained independence we had once lost
When the stupid federation was broken, as the dawn arrived and the cock crowed
It looked promising as men, women, and children chanted
They sung, because they felt victorious
But still, we betrayed each other,
Infested with mysteries, greed, insecurities, poverty, tyranny
We still never gave up but fought for the freedom
A little bit of a turning around
But we still cry bitterly
When the people elected forget us
And we still exploit each other
Where is "Ubuntu"?
Our independence lost its fragrance
Because we are not free
When we still depend on foreign aid in every sector
What went wrong?
I wait for complete healing,
I wait for the day we shall see the meaning,
I believe our history is important
Only when told in an honest way
So that we can pave a way
For truth, and progress

To Turkish and Syrians

The world is shocked with a tragedy that has claimed too many lives
In Syria and Turkey, the ground shook with strife
Desperate souls left in its wake
A dad's hand touching that of his daughter, too late

We feel the pain of those who have lost loved ones
Their hearts heavy, weighed down with the burden
We send our thoughts to those in despair
And show appreciation to those who show kindness and care

By helping the victims, they make the world a better place
Even in times of darkness, they bring a smile to someone's face
We spread love to the people of Syria and Turkey
And to all those who stand up for humanity.

Journey To the Future

I see the unseen,
The intangible, the unfelt,
When I close my eyes,
I wander far with my thoughts.

I move at the speed of light,
Travelling miles and miles,
Feeling the vision of a life ahead.

The dream is big enough,
I won't stop until I reach it,
I have mapped out the route,
Though I have not figured it all.

But I can see myself at the destination,
Ready to move with courage like a fearless soldier,
I won't turn back,
I am determined to make it real.

If You Had Known

Left you wounded
Blood then bleed
with your milk you fed
Indeed! Indeed!
As it was in need
The already made maid

Climbed to the mountains
Suffering though it rains
Taking a rest at the plains
Really the pain pains

Then what if you had known?
Is this What you wanted to own?
The distance sounded of no solution
Adding a troublesome portion

Let's Unite

As the shadows of division loom,
We must remember what is true:
There is no good reason to pursue
A path that leads to separation and strife.

We all have a right to live our lives,
To pursue our dreams and be who we are.
But with this right comes a great responsibility,
To treat each other with kindness and respect.

Let us not discriminate or hate,
But instead embrace our diversity.
For within our differences lies our ability
To come together and create unity.

So let us hold hands and stand as one,
United in our quest for fairness and peace.
Let us show each other happy faces,
And let love and understanding never cease.

We Can

Despite our differences,
We can make a difference,
To a planet in shambles
To a planet struggling
If we could unite
And do what is right
By speaking one language
By fighting against anything;
that harms our planet
By working on anything to bring restoration
To a place, we love to live,
This place called Earth
But we are destroying it
Money has become the priority
We have lost our senses
We have harmed ourselves and generations to come;
our soil, trees, and our water
We can surely do something about it
You and I have the power
To change things
Look at the clock!
The time is now!
It's now O'clock!

One Day

One day,
I shall say bye!
I shall say I was not staying here for long
I was just a passerby
I was just a dew
This date is due
I have done what I needed to do
I shall urge you to embrace the sorrow
Even if your heart shall feel so low
But for it was written
I shall leave this space for others to explore too.
I shall no longer have the energy to make the pen stand.
I shall put a full stop to my last line.
I shall close the book
I shall say we had a good time in our ups and downs
then breathe for the last time,
then closing my eyelids forever.

The Late Madiba

The late Madiba,
May your soul receive the honor
For your true patriotism
For your fight for justice
For your heroism
You stood up against the evil apartheid
But that wasn't smooth
It cost you a lot
For more than two decades, you were behind the bars
That was a lot
It was such a painful journey
That was passing through a thicket
But that did not stop you!
You kept anticipating
For a better tomorrow!
Tomorrow of freedom!
You emerged as so prominent
For your forgiving spirit
For your selflessness and generosity
You influenced the world
Your words were so kind, unifying, and peace-making
You were such a great icon
Your life added up to something great
A long-lasting legacy was made

Brothers

Into harsh terrain they ventured,
From drainage to a marsh.
Healthy brothers suddenly died,
By an unknown deed.

Saints went to hell,
For the land disliked them.
Desperate for what to tell guardians,
Anger was the seed that was planted,
Roots began to grow,
Where provoking and poking were the fruit it bore.

Those who had never spoken ill,
Now found life to be hard.
But walls have ears,
They hear all conspiracies whispered.
