Nevertheless

Nevertheless…
I used all my efforts
To get into the world
That I see some people in
The world with many
Interesting things
The world
In which people eat and celebrate
But all my efforts
Were futile
Nevertheless, I will dance to that tune

I read many books
I did study fifteen subjects
I passed my O’ level
I passed my A’ level
I got three degrees
But it’s all the same

I searched for vocations
But I found none
I used all my fortitude
And I never forfeited
But it was all in vain
Who had bewitched me?
I just ask
Nevertheless, I will be poor forever

Nelia

She was standing there lonely
That beautiful girl
Her shape was so lovely
Her silhouette could tell
She was made

Her mind-sizzling smile wasn’t a folktale
You could see that when you talk to her
Her body wasn’t for sell
She knew she was going somewhere

Her life was full of advice
And she refused none
She took every advice
And scrutinized them one by one

At thirty, she wanted marriage
And she did choose a good boy
A good boy with morals
Did she choose him at teen age?
That was only known by her boy

A wedding came her way
And people could say what they loved to say
Lobola was paid for her
And they all rejoiced
She respected her groom
Her groom also respected her
Because she had had learnt morals
Stay well Nelia
God loves you Nelia

You Only Live Once On Earth

Lazarus was raised from the dead
Kaguvi died and is still dead
Lazarus lived again
Goncalo lived once
In addition, we do not think he will come back
You only live once on earth

If you decide to do it
Do it, tomorrow will be too late
Today is here
You never know what is around the corner
Do what you want to do right now
Because on earth: you only live once
If you want to make her happy
If you want to make him happy
Do it without hesitating
Who knows?
Tomorrow you may be sobbing
It’s like funny
When you die
You won’t be granted permission
Permission to live again
God will tell you the thing
The thing is
You only live once on earth

After earth
Its Heaven or hell
It’s not earth again
You only live once on earth

I Cant Wait

I can see my future
Bright and so richer
I can see the bigger picture
I wanna be my life’s teacher.

My future will be so bright
Don’t get me wrong get me right
I know that I have my dreams
Not those I have by night
And because I’m willing to fight
I’m sure I will get it right.
And that is why I can’t wait.

My future will be bright and fair
Not because I’m going to be a millionaire
But because I will get there
Were those who succeeded are.

Day and night I will pray
Before I get to gather hay
I won’t wait for May
Just because today is today
I will be hand in hand with work and any try.
Because I know there is no other day like today.

I won’t term myself ‘a failure’
Because I know I won’t be a failure
Life is easy and I don’t know why
                        They think it’s difficult
For my future; I can’t wait.

Cut Very Short

He is no more
You took his soul
But from him we still needed more

Why take such an immature person
Lord can you tell me the reason
I think its not justifiable-taking him this early season?

You cut shott all his efforts
And now they cant be pushed forward
You underated all his fights
And took him before he got his reward

Its so sad how untimely his death was
Its so bad how you took him in the early hours
Its so confusing why you closed the doors
I cant even relate!

The feeling is a heartbreaking one
And the war against nature cannot be won
Everyday, you do rob us of the finest sons
And we go on to cry- hopeless

May Munashe's soul rest in peace
Though our mental cight shall not cease
In the clouds may he find peace
We will meet soon as you share, with your loved ones, kisses
Maybe tomorrow its me!

For Munashe Muhoni who passed on at the start of the 2018 Festive Season

Nothing To Enliven Me

Nothing to enliven me
I found myself en route from Egypt
But I found myself enmeshed
What could I do now I thought
But all I found were shreds
For seventeen years I engaged myself into a fight
And all those who saw me said I was shrewd
But I ask myself were they right?

What’s that which is enshrouded?
That is only seen by night
I need to ensconce myself, but how, Lord?

Everyday that’s coming seems to take everything
Of which it was designed to bring something
Year in year out, I'm fishing
But I find the waves disturbing
And all I get are floods of tears
Tears so hurting even to passersby
How more to my close relatives

Yes there is mist there & mist there
So it’s going to rain there?
Why not here?
Then I find myself moving there
But it ceased to rain
Nothing would enliven me
'Cause I've been weakened a million times and what could I do?

This is the truth
I will forfeit all because of these
These and other difficulties
Difficulties arising hourly

Afraid of Losing You

Afraid of losing you

If I lose you
Will I be able
To get you again?
I don’t want to get sorrowful
I don’t want to ruin my life

Regardless of what they utter
Regardless of who you are
I’ll always be with you
But the question is
Won’t you really leave me?

Many a time
I think about this
I love to make you sweet love
So that you won’t leave
But sometimes I don’t know
What happens to your mind

Never leave me please
	I beg you
‘Cause I love you and you are what keeps me breathing
Promise me
	Please promise me
Tell me honestly my beloved
Would you always be mine?
In pain and happiness

In My Feelings - For Natasha

The story became too heavy
I did went on to empty it
But I was timid
That the outcome could be negative
Which could undermine my dignity

A few days down the line
I did shake heaven and earth
And thought it was fine
But I invoked your wrath!
And heard you wanted to slap me!

Principled Ladies, right?
But it was my desire
To work day and night
To lift those principles higher!

Self denying ordinances
Mom loved daughter and needed no silliness
Lest the wedding feast be omitted?
Okay! I get it !

And then, where is this coming from?
Wait… I hear a whisper about classes
Do I belong to the third estate
And you? First estate?
Oh Lord! But Muhammad married Khadija.

So if I earned a billion dollars a week
And you earned half a billion
Was it gonna be okay?
But such that its vice versa
I look stupid, right?

Is it about the Ferraris, Cadillacs and Jaguars?
Of love & intimacy dashed away
Cancel the obsession, the infatuation, the crush, the love.
Cancel the combination of these
And usher generality?

Too blind to see?
Too bleak to understand?
Cast your glance at my heart
Hope you see the real me
But you won’t understand anything!
Lord….

So I gotta shut me trap?Huh?
Lest you snap(mbama)?
Then I feel stupid.

I’m hurt, hurt, hurt!
Hurt, hurt!
Hurt!

(For Miss Natasha-who is principled)

Let Me Dream

There is something good about your beauty
It drives me crazy when I need to be driven
In my eyes and head, everyday you fit,
So I say you are God-given
Rembering your face and voice is what I do
But the hurting part is when I miss you.

When I look into your eyes, I just see my reflection
Your eyes look like a thousand stars at midnight
Then I think of divulging what has been hidden
But I go astray when I hear your voice

When you smile at me, I get to forget whatever that's in my head
Thats when I ask if you could allow me to kiss
Then I go the other way: mad
When I hear a knock on my door and shout, "Who is this?"
And I get out of bed, the dream had come to an end.

They need not wake me up, let me dream
Because she doesnt allow me to love her
So if her love only exist in my dreams
I think sleeping, for me, would be fair.
I have no one to love
Except that girl with auburn hair
I pray to the Almighty God who is above
To give me that girl whose a billionaire
Only because of her lovely face

Would you just do me a favour
Do you want me to demand, " Love me now" like John Legend?
I will never stop loving you; Never!
Love me now, before my life comes to an end

Reconciliation

Yes I knew I was doing wrong
But her beauty drove me crazy
Not knowing that you were made
I was stupid and I Do admit

I loved the most when you told me you loved me.
But I couldnt help it 'cause she dated me
I aint lying, this is the thing
But my girl I do love ya
.

The taste of your lips is nice
Though I tasted them only twice
I wished I could do it thrice
But thrice would be multiplied

Stupidity surrounded me
That I fell in love with that Canadian girl
Complexion pleaded to me
Who she was I couldnt tell
But comparing faces , you were as hot as hell
Comparing love, yours wasn't a tell
.

I do regret why I put a ring on her finger
And if you wish, we can move on
Though I am no singer
I wanna sing a song of love unto thy ear

I love you Lisa
I wanna give you happiness
If you allow me to
