Imagine

Imagine
by Amy Saleh

Imagine opening a door
Only to be sucked into a vortex of abandon
Imagine drowning in an ocean of cool blue
Washing away all your pain
Imagine being reborn as a bird
Soaring over a dreamland of passion
Imagine floating on a silver cloud
Your heart sinking and ebbing
Imagine your heart racing the wind
Dancing to a fairy’s magical tune
Imagine closing your eyes
Seeing a thousand enchanting mages
Imagine opening your eyes
To an explosion of all the colours
Imagine seeing all things beautiful
A smile so sweet and sensual
Imagine tasting the dream of your life
Your taste buds screaming with delight
Imagine touching your lips to a petal
So soft, velvety, rich and creamy
Imagine drinking the nectar
Of the prettiest passion flower
Imagine hot liquid gold
Touching your lips with a fire
Sending a glow to your cheeks
Yet chills ripple down your spine
Imaging every inch of you
Shiver like a trembling leaf
Imagine every breath you take
Coming from a well with no end
Imagine your heart ripped open
Laid bare for the world to see
Imagine being hit by a train
Leaving you wanting to be hit again
Imagine running lost in a desert
Your soul thirsty for more fire
Imagine a moment of sheer ecstasy
A dream you never want to wake up from
If you can imagine all this
You can imagine love’s first kiss

Fast Unasleep

Eyes open wide shut
Or closed fast unasleep
It does not matter
For we still unsee the lies

We hear the unscreams
Know the untruth
It does not matter
For we still compromise

Alone on my unbeaten path
Traveling inside this once
Looking for truths within
To be me it’s my last chance

Unspoken Volumes Xi – Sunshine & Sunflower

If I could find words how I love you to say
No words ever said can my feelings convey
If I could express my love in words or sentences
They may sound like a baby’s first utterances
Your love is even more… our souls know well
Your sighs mesmerize me like a magical spell
Ours is a story of the Sun and the Sunflower
They saw with their hearts, their love had such power
That if the sunflower was once sad and downcast
The sun looked at the sea with emotion so vast
Its waters swelled and its cries touched the skies
The skies were so blue, the wind was their sighs
And the sun looked at the wind with such pain
It carried the love to the sunflower as rain
And the rain became a song of the purest love
And the sunflower past the tallest tree towered above
Your love is my sunshine, more than I ever dreamed
I adore you like the sunflower in its beloved gleamed
