Angels Demise

Angels demise

They fell, haunted by the past
Caught in a net of despair
Separated, alone, frightened,
Broken and forlorn.
Wings shattered against the cliffs of time.
Raging hell stormed around them
The spell of paradise now broken
Such anguish and sorrow as the angels fell

All hope now passed
All dreams shattered
The glory of heaven at war.

Thousand upon thousand demons risen
Splintering from the ravines of hell
Time now far beyond gods scope
Faithless tears frozen in fear.
Cries of shame distorted
Rainbows of joy dissolved into darkness.
Such sweet angelic song crushed
As heart of man fills with sorrow.
Bound into darkest night.
Bellowing, raging, a storm of remorse,
Regret for ancient sins.
To late the trumpets blare
To late the fateful cry
For revenge, now released, to ravage
Risen to take its toll

Where once green meadows lay,
Now churned pits of unshared souls,
Clutching, grabbing,
Seeking solace,
Seeking peace,
Seeking self
Too late now the drums that beat
To late the redemption poll.
For hell have fury rent
Upon the turns of time.

What fear is this, what fury spent?
Unleashed upon such creation
All power now ceased within and without.
The sun hidden in the darkest shroud.
As the wings of hell grow stronger
Coveting all in sight

No righteous prayer now heard above
As warriors screech out revenge
No child’s whimper of innocence
Ever to be heard again.

Spirits of greed and gluttony
Roar out their fiendish freedom
Whilst eyes of time watch with moistened eyes
Powerless to intervene.
Such howling winds scour the land
Leaving no stone unturned
Each life force now but prey to death,
To late the heart of reason

Seas sucked dry, lands ablaze
 Mountains scattered far
Such ravaging of a world once known
No longer the pulse of life

Such madness spread within us all
On the day of risen hell
The saddest day for all mankind

 The angel’s sad demise.
