The Keeper of Secrets

I am the Keeper of Secrets
I have heard all men's tales
Of murder, adultery
And other betrayals

Their stories come to me
Through back doors at night
Their compromised souls
Caught in desperate plight

I'm the Keeper of Secrets
You never would know
I make no judgments
No cursings of woe

I hear both sides of stories
Only one thing is sure
That both sides are liars
No one speaks the truth.

My New Girlfriend

I ask Freya of the cool blue North
To be my special Magic Goddess
Naked in Her clicking high heels
Freya, my new fantasy friend
At my side when adventures go forth

She's posing in Her skin for me
At the edge of the mystic trees
Twisting, bending, showing me
I can have Her, if I can catch Her,
If I love Her, what a tease

She's teaching me Her style of charm
To conjure Her in dreams awaking
Glamouring love spasm calling Her name
Goddess of Love and shuddering Sex
Clenching my fingers in Her golden mane

Freya my partner in dark sex adored
Feral Freya with paralyzing eyes
Ancient primal Sacred Whore
Gliding around me in blazing form
Goddess of Love and Death and War

Magic Shape Shifter, Valkyrie Queen
Who could ask for a cooler Girlfriend?

We went shopping for shoes today
For clicky high-heels that firm up Her rear end
Then hit the sidewalk to stun the old men
Long-legged Freya, my Goddess Girlfriend

Girl From Wheeling

There was a young lady from Wheeling
West Virginia, that is
Who had a peculiar feeling that
Her boyfriend Jack was cheating

She took it to his Mom
“Mom” she said, “your son Jack
Is really pissing me off.
I'm ready to hit the ceiling.”

“Ya know,” Mom said, “You crack me up.
I'm tickled he goes to your head
He irritates me the same way about you
So I tell him to stay unwed.”

So Mom was the other woman
The young lady from Wheeling suspected
So she lay on her back and considered Mom amd Jack
“I would like to see them dissected!”

City of Trees

I saw one day a city of trees
Walking down a path with me
Following hidden eyes to see

Saplings jungled up together
Like a stream of walkers too
Confused at all by windy weather

Deer pellets scattered walk-aways
Somebody's got to clean that up
Small insects eat away the maze

Emerald canopy of light
Daylight flyers speeding through
Branches complicate their flight

Crowded young trees struggling tight
Set an arboreal street fight
Leaping tall for teen age light

Botanical light shows in the trees
Sun rays scattering breezily through
Red and green for traffic leaves

Partying fireflies up all night
Celestial revue of starlight bright
Crickets and peepers sing delight

Subway system of crooked holes
Gophers nudging sexy moles
Touching each other heading home

Spiders vending corpsal flies
In handy snacky six-pack buys
To homeward-bound commuter eyes

Fauna's eating Flora The Breeze
Loving her out in the hot dry leaves
Completing her lust for life you see

And Green Man is the mayor bold
Dryad, she's his squeeze and maid
Public works by beavers laid

Learning to walk, a child of three
First time I saw the City of Trees
Dryad was holding her hand for me

Dryad, she's my love to be
Taking her inventory of bees
Holding her charms about the trees

So we say and so it seems
City of Trees and sunlight beams
Making love for me and my dreams

Goddesses

Freya, Maria, Gaia, Sofia
Isis, Astarte
Kali and Parvati

Always it seems
They haunt my dreams
Staring like tigers in my night

With demanding love
And no expectation
But to see Her

They walk in light
Hip-switching across the Earth
A woman, a deer, a flying leaf

Her flaming sword
Could spin my head off
But She kisses my soul and I'm safe

Every day I see Her
Magic paralyzing eyes
Outlined in black

Golden eyelids smiling
Startingly clearly brown or blue
I know lust and peace at once

The world turns over
And the world burns
And the Goddess lives forever

Eye of Dark

Follow the path
in the dark of night
past the Well of Wyrd

In the forest deep
the Witch Trees keep
names in a book of blood

Eldritch is plucking something
strange he doesn't want you to see
he found it under a tree

Down the path dark
is a glimmering Eye
where spirits meet

Of all living things
in wisdom and death
it questions the young

Hatchlings who say
they know the way
but the Eye says no

Odin's lost Eye
sees glowing red runes in
the magic of gods in the night

Spells like tangled wires
in the dead branches of Witch
Trees scratching and hunting

For the Eye of Dark
is dreams half seen
by twisting primeval souls.

Philosophizing

Retiring, they ask me
What do you do now
For a living that is

I'm a Philosopher, I say
Social Security encouraged me
They say, is there money in it

I charge Forty Dollars an hour
I say, used to that is
Now I sell it by the pound

How can I get some, they say
Have a seat, I say
Best forty dollars you'll ever spend

Bumbling Leaves

Autumn winds chasing
Bumbling red leaves on a wild hunt
Across the parking lot

August Crickets

Dark moon day of August
I stepping on a nail
hospital tetanus shot
I draw Kenaz from my Rune bag

Sitting out at night
First time crickets sing
Starry sky's Milky Way
Two shooting stars see me

My black cat runs by
Dog howls down the road
Forest spirits are afoot
Really too much magic
