Terminal Disease of Addiction -Underlying Demon

My weapons of mass destruction,
Find shelter in your hands with ease,
Although you wish to destroy me,
I remain coming and going as I please.

I'm your everwaking struggle,
Daily knocking at your door,
I'll deprive you of a purpose for living,
Leech to your surface and suffocate your core.

I'm the essence of your pleasure,
As well as the many reasons for your pain.
I can morph into a mirage of sunshine,
Then quickly fade into eternal rain.

I find weakness in your judgements,
I justify all of your flaws,
I make excuses that you even grow to believe,
Sanity has now vanished from your cause.

You've revealed passionate hate for me,
But somehow we are still best of friends,
You've tried but are helpless to resist me,
I told you we'd be together until the end.

I'll take everything you have left,
Even if there's nothing left to lose.
The blame is not solely placed on me,
Once I was just a choice for you to choose.

Nothing comes for free I'm afraid,
I seek your richest treasures in this life,
Far past materials and money,
I want your children, your husband, or wife.

All your precious family will cringe to taste your name,
Is this a legacy of honor, truth, love and pride?
Probably not, but running away will not help,
You can't hide, lord knows that you've even tried and tried.

All that's left is me and you now,
All else you had I've washed away,
I know you're alone, broke and in bad health,
You're in debt with one last payment of your life today.

The Joy My Daughters Bring

The Joy my Daughters bring!
There are four beautiful girls,
With radiant smiles in their attire.
Filling the atmosphere with sunshine,
Lighting up the alleys with a burning fire.

Always eager to awaken laughter,
Simple tasks into elegant chores,
Helping mommy wash the dishes,
Helping mommy sweep the floors.

I have two hundred colored pages,
They present to me with boastful pride,
I wouldn't sell them for a million dollars,
Life is peaceful by their sides.

I hope they still see me as their hero,
No matter how much they grow,
I haven't many accomplishments yet,
But those girls, are mine to show.

Ambivalence

What once was true love, has now become vengeance,
 we love each other better from a distance.
Pride married Foolish, they begot Vanity,
 A sorceress who invented insanity.
Under her spell, Foolish turned Pride to dust,
 a backfiring spell creating such as: Lust.
 Karma was born, she was Hope's ugly cousin,
Faith walked with angels, Love and Joy was one.
Then Love and Pain, they united you see,
Pain cast a spell and became Hate magically.
 But Love was patient and Love was surely kind
Forcing Hate to strike a curse on her making her blind.
 Peace came to help her in the form of a dove,
crept up on Hate, and turned the lights on for Love!
now Hate was stumbling and tripping in the dark;
crying out for Love with all of his cold bitter heart.
she pleaded for him to come into the light;
he replied, "Come here my love and all will be right."
Falling from wisdom into dreams he had weaved,
Drunk and blind again easily she was decieved.
Now here she was again tripping into ditches, and stumbling over boulders,
led by the same one who had her looking over her shoulders.
 No direction, no ending, living a pointless life of no sense;
Love and Hate did come to be withchild, and gave birth to Ambivalence.
 Now she's born as a new breed and she multplies like wild weeds and flowers;
Like a sourpatch kid contrary..sweetest is her start..and she only becomes more sour
 forevermore she is a bittersweet, perfect, legal crime..
 Alas the essence of Ambivalence is to love and hate at the same time.
drunk and blind folded; she was again easily decieved.
Now here she was again tripping into ditches, and over limbs & boulders,
led by the same one who had her looking over her shoulders.
 No direction, no ending, living life free from innocence and entirely with no sense;
they became withchild, Love and Hate, and gave birth to Ambivalence.
 Now she's born as a new breed and she multplies like wild weeds and flowers;
Like a sourpatch kid contrary..sweetest is her start..and she only becomes more sour
 forevermore she is a bittersweet, perfect, legal crime..
 Alas the essence of Ambivalence is to love and hate at the same time.
