Ambitions

They push, crawl and reach. I sit back and watch the parade. I feel a force from within. It's pulling me in their direction. I refuse, fight back and resist. It weakens, the coast seems clear. I don't want to give in, get dragged along and play a part in their scheme. But I still feel the need to try harder, be stronger and stay longer. I nod, let my head down and watch my screen. I guess that I am going to stay a few more hours at the crime scene. Battling between my authenticity and societies expectations.

Autumn Blossom

When a storm comes to collect a flowers' petals, and only their roots remain,

It takes up time and nurturing for them to ever feel the same.

But whenever they choose to stay in the dark for too long,

Even the strongest ones will eventually forget where they belong.

The Colour Panel

I can feel the different shades dancing inside my body. Darkness bows and lets brightness take the lead. They tease each other in a game of cat and mouse. Brightness often wins but darkness never makes me forget his presence. It demands to be felt, even on the clearest of all summer days. One drop can be enough to plant a seed, the more I feed it, the more it grows. It crawls up, but the light remains, standing strong and tall, in search for a ray of sun to make it bloom again.

The Storybook

Hold me close, hold me tight,
don’t let me fall asleep tonight.

Whisper songs into my ear,
they will make the stories dissapear

I want to see the world behind our eyes,
and travel far behind the skies.

Take my hand and follow my lead,
Together we will succeed.

Lost and Found

With a heavy heart and an open mind,
I am wandering through a city that once was mine.
While I rediscover memories that got lost in my mind,
a familiar stranger passes me by.
Now I am finding comfort in the words that leave his lips,
realizing that home is not simply a place that exists.
And that is when it hit me all at once,
forever is not quite long enough for what is yet to come.
