Everything's Good

When it gets dark and the lights start to fade
You lock the doors and we hide in the shade
The smoke of your cigarettes is filling the room
My paradise is hell and your heaven is doom

Afraid of the height we get on this flight
Scared of the monsters we go out in the night
Joyfully facing the heartache and pain
Hoping that the pilot won't crash the plane

Devastation and love are so close together
Better laugh 'cause crying won't make it better
Dry your tears, baby, for as long as you
Can die with your soulmate everything's good!

Unfinished Dreams

People tell me
To just let it go
Move on without
Looking back to
A time so long ago

But I can't just do that
How am I to get
Over a time
That only happened
In my mind

There's so many things
We had planned to do
Dreams unfinished
I wanted to
Fly down to Rio with you

Now it all vanished
Into the dark
Life has torn us apart
You are going places
I am stuck in my heart

I wonder if we
Ever get to be
Together again
To finish what we
Once began

One Thing

The sun is rising and chasing the night
I only feel safe when you hold me tight
And if you're not there what am I gonna do?
The world is dark like a black hole without you

Billions of stars in the universe
And millions of people on the face of the Earth
But I only need one thing in this whole world
Seeing you would make me the happiest girl

The sun is setting and the planets align
Waiting for the moon to give me a sign
A shooting star crossing above a dark cloud
I hope it will make me find you in the crowd

22

Being 22
And all the things that happen to you
You ain't got a clue where this will take you
But it's the best age, it's really so true

Falling in love
You catch dreams like a dove
You can see your hopes in the sky above
But you trade them again for a couple of $#§7

You may have the best time
And feel really damn fine
You can make it all up and create in your mind
But in the end it's gone for a dime

The best year is over
Better look out for cover
It's all gonna end in a supernova
Just like the luck of my four-leaf-clover

So baby, please make sure
Never feel too secure
Of the things that happen to you
When you're 22

Because of You

In a little street café
Summer's ending, fall begins
Paris, the best place to be
Because of you and nothing else

Cupid and Psyche

A girl more enchanting than the most beautiful Goddess
With her long shining hair falling over her white dress
Was sitting on the cold stairs of her marble stone palace
With a tear running down her fair ivory face

Weeping for a love she once held so secure
In her heart made of a thread so firm and pure
Before trust was deceived by envious means
Separating her from the man of her dreams

He who never in a lifetime had wanted to leave her
Was now walking alone on a bridge and the river
Below reflecting the dim light of the moon and the stars
Couldn't make him forget the pain and the scars

Still he didn't want to leave her alone
Since in his heart he knew that she was his home
During her hard time of trial and distress
He stood by her side, trying to find a way out of this mess

With logic and luck she accomplished her tasks
Overcoming the shadows vain Venus had cast
A box of beauty, of no use to her, but carelessly opened
Could have sealed Psyche's fate, she fell to the ground

But Cupid was right there and kissed her awake
Because for true love it's never too late
Psyche looked into his eyes and she knew
They'd be bound forever by the words 'I love you'

Fearless

Dancing through the streets of a French little town
The old church shimmering yellowish brown
The September night sky and my brand new dress
I can't wait to see you and I'm feeling fearless

Xxx Crybaby Xxx

They call me crybaby
'cause I cry all the time
Can't hold back my tears
When I'm not feeling fine

Give me my milk
I'm raising my voice
Don't you wanna play
With me and my toys?

I hurt my head
Won't you come running?
I'll scream even louder
When I don't hear you coming

Gently caress me
And hold my hand
Won't you follow me
Into playland?

Do what I want
Or my doll's gonna die
You don't want to make
Your babygirl cry

Cleopatra

Queen of the Nile and yeah of course beauty
Her father left her a Kingdom's duty
Little motherless daughter, everyone adored her
But her dull child brother bored her

She rocked her look, eyes and hair
A dream black as night and gorgeous in white
In her greatest despair
She made her way back to top right at Caesar's side

She'd delight his heart and never could a love be
As true as theirs, by the first sight
She gave him a son, a King at three
He'd rule the whole world, she made it her plight

But soon her man left her and his fate was sealed
And her love was doomed, this couldn't be real
A betrayed woman's heart in a young girl's body
A graceful Queen, ready to go down in History

He took her soul when he went away
Still so proud to have been his wife
Her heart turned to stone on the day
She was too late for the love of her life

Antony took his place not only in Rome
But in the loyal Queen's heart he should also find home
Deeply in love and maybe too blind
Too see the signs, don't lose your mind

Together they rose to fall even lower
Blood dripping in the waters like a deathly shower
He chose love over war, swallowed his pride
The battle was lost and he died at her side

A life filled with love but now all alone
The faithful wise Queen sensed her end was to come
She would slip out of her enemy's hand
With the bite of a snake to take her to her lovers' land

Love Story

December snow and college life
It's not easy to survive
Feel the snowflakes on my skin
The cold air I'm breathing in

It's so hard to pay the rent
Nothing but my time to spend
But as long as it's with you
There's nothing else I'd rather do

When I met you I was hooked
Not only by the way you looked
You got me totally obsessed
I love you only, I confessed

My heart beats for you
When you leave me, it's true
I'll never recover
From the loss of my lover

I'd give up my life
To be by your side
I once dreamed of Paris
But I only need you, wherever that is

So don't say you're sorry
For when you love truly
There's no need to apologize
For being the best thing in my life
