The Talking Car

I am a car, made of fibre and steel,
Take you to places, with great zeal.
Though I can’t speak, I have a horn,
With all comfort and luxury, I’m born.
It makes me glad and smile,
To carry you safe and sound, all the while.
But when my friend splashes water from a puddle,
Makes me ugly and sad, for which I spuddle.
Do you ever bother to make me comfortable,
When day after day, I feel miserable.
Have you ever bathed me or wiped me clean,
So that I too can smile and look sheen.
Even I want to look beautiful at every chance,
You must maintain me so that everyone dies for a glance.

Traffic Rules

Rules, rules and rules everywhere!
Difficult to abide by them, I swear!
But friends, I’ll tell you some facts,
Which will create on you, great impacts!
Traffic rules you must follow,
Mark my words which aren’t hollow.
Follow the signal and keep to the left,
Use the indicators and drive with deft.
Wear the helmet or tie the seat belt,
To remind you of these, is the need I felt.
Never talk while you drive,
To control speed, you must strive.
Make it safe by following the rules,
Everyone is secure and no one pules.
Abide by them, do not shun,
Enjoy every ride with a lot of fun.

A Tribute To My Teachers

A TRIBUTE TO MY TEACHERS
I love and respect my teachers for their guidance,
As they gave me knowledge in abundance.
Whenever I was surrounded by darkness,
They filled my path with brightness.
To make me reach greater height,
They enlightened me with all their might.
Nurturing with endless love, care and affection,
I was made to move ahead with motivation.
Today in my life, I have the access,
To be a teacher and this is a grand success.
I hereby pay my due respect,
And salute all my teachers from every aspect.
So, on this special day of the year,
For them all I am here,
To wish them a HAPPY TEACHERS’ DAY,
In my own very special way.

The Rose

The tiny fresh bud in my garden,
Slowly bloomed into a bright rose,
Spreading exquisite fragrance all around,
That’s what it decided and chose.

Holding its head high in every storm,
Innocence lies in the way it smiles,
No matter what lies in the eyes of beholder,
It urges a smile at least for a while.

Sometimes offered to the Almighty God,
Or woven in a garland for a noble cause,
Sometimes trampled under harsh feet,
Still its scent engulfs us which we must applause.

It suffers pain to provide us with royal delicacies,
And brings joy and brightens many lives,
So friends, to make each other smile and happy,
Can’t we humans like God’s greatest creation, strive?

My Umbrella

Here is my umbrella,
Bright and colourful,
Scorching sunlight or wet rain,
It always makes me cheerful.

Without any kind of selfish reason,
It protects and cares for me every time,
Getting burnt by sun or lashed by the strong showers,
And I feel as if I’d done a big crime.

I vow to care for my umbrella,
As it always takes all the pain,
I too will love and protect it,
Without caring for any gain.

Puppet, My Friend

Here’s my puppet,
That loves to blow the trumpet.
It always follows my order,
And never crosses the border.
I can manipulate it as I wish,
That’s what the most I cherish.
It always stays with me,
And makes me smile with glee.
When my friends aren’t amiable,
Then I realize, it is kind and humble,
So I accept that it’s my most loving friend,
For whom my love has no end.

Birds, O Birds

Birds! O beautiful birds!
You flutter your wings and soar high,
And float across the endless blue sky.
Nudging me to touch the impossible,
And making me desire the unreachable.
Birds! O wonderful birds!
You build your nests with earnest efforts again and again,
Even though the strong winds make your work all in vain.
This urges me to sail through situations when they are atrocious,
And motivates me always to be strong, determined and tenacious.
Birds! O magnificent birds!
Though being tiny creatures in comparison,
You teach us to keep going on every occasion.
I bow and salute you for your mightiness,
And to you I owe my praiseworthy diligentness.
Birds! O adorable birds!!!

Guess Who

GUESS WHO?
All through the day, out in the scorching sun,
Children love to play and have fun.
Drop by drop, sweat trickle down,
The tantalizing heat makes them frown.
None other than me, is there to cure,
I twirl and swirl to blow breeze so pure.
Press my key, or pull my string,
And make me move with a zing.
So my friends, can you guess,
Who am I, in the time so less?
Yeah! I am the FAN,
The most Adorable Fan.
