Remember the Soldiers

Remember all the soldiers,
The memories that they share,
The curse that they must live with,
The horrors that they bare.

Remember all the soldiers,
Who never made it back,
Who gave their lives in battle,
Protecting from attack.

Remember all the soldiers,
Remember we're in debt,
Remember them with honour,
Remember, lest we forget.

When I Say I Love You

When i say i love you,
I mean it from my heart.
When i say i need you,
It's meant when we're apart.
When i say miss you,
It means i feel alone.
And when i say I want you,
I mean I want you for my own.

For You

For you my loves like a chasm,
It's deepness cannot be defined.
For you my feelings are protective,
Like a angel always by your side.

For you my heart beats a rhythm,
Where my passion and fire is found.
For you my kisses are but simple,
Like the universe they know no bounds.

For you my thoughts contentedness,
For all that you are and you do.
And so just to re-cap on everything,
I'm so happy to make it with you.

You

It's the lovely smile you give me,
it's the way you wink your eye,
it's the laughing that's infectious,
it's your sadness when you cry.
It's the loving that you show me,
it's the deepness of that love,
it's the satisfying feeling that you fit me like a glove
But above all these things, there's something else for sure
It's when I think you've give your all, you go and give me more.
To my sweetness and delight. Xxxxx

Easy Don'T Come Easy

Easy don't come easy.

When I think back to what we had,
It breaks my heart and makes me sad,
Not because we said goodbye,
Just because we didn't try.

A love that's true is worth the fight,
Not just let it drift from sight,
The love we shared is all too rare,
Even with it's wear and tear.

Cause easy don't come easy,
A tough old road for us to face,
Let's stand together undivided,
Take my hand, let's run our race

Sofa cuddles with snacks at hand,
Watching films we didn't understand,
Talking bout how our days have been,
What we've done and what we've seen.

Dance floor movers we stole the stage,
When we got home we felt our age,
Leaving notes for the start of day,
Sharing love in our special way.

.Cause easy don't come easy,
A tough old road for us to face,
Let's stand together undivided,
Take my hand, let's run our race

The twilight years all mapped and planned,
Holidays on golden sand,
Takeaways or Sunday roast,
Right down to having beans on toast.

But best of all and so much more,
True love is what people saw,
The hand was dealt we should have stuck,
Instead we gambled and pushed our luck.

Cause easy don't come easy,
A tough old road for us to face,
Let's stand together undivided,
Take my hand, let's run our race

Tears and laughter come our way,
Along with words we shouldn't say,
But good or bad we cant deny,
The love we have would never die.

It's not too late to make amends,
We have family and we have friends,
We both deserve another chance,
To take the floor and dance the dance.

Cause easy don't come easy,
A tough old road for us to face,
Let's stand together undivided,
Take my hand, let's run our race.

Think

Tinsel, bells and mistletoe,
Santa Claus and ho ho ho.
Turkey, chocolates, nuts and more,
Presents, cards we all adore.
Family members, far or near,
Come together for Christmas cheer.
Music, dance or sing a song,
Drink be merry everyone.
But spare a thought for those without,
Just loneliness to think about.
It won't take much to raise a smile,
Show you care, it's so worthwhile.

Merry Christmas. XXXX

Nothing lasts forever

Updated previous poem in memory of my beloved beautiful brother.

Nothing lasts forever,
I don't believe it's true,
The love we hold
For those we've lost,
Stays with us through and through.

Nothing lasts forever,
I'm inclined to disagree,
Memories linger in lifes mind,
For everyone to see.

Nothing lasts forever,
That's what people tend to say,
Legacies are left behind
They never fade away.

But some things last forever,
In heart and minds we find,
The love we have and memories,
We can never leave behind.

The passing of a loved one,
The grief that breaks your heart,
The tears you shed through sadness,
Lost , alone and apart.

So use the love they gave you,
Relive what made you laugh,
Eventually peace will find you,
And guide you on your path.

If Not For You

If not for you, I wouldn't know
What true love really meant.
I'd never feel this inner peace;
I couldn't be content.

If not for you, I'd never have
The pleasure of romance.
I'd miss the bliss, the craziness,
Of love's sweet, silly dance.

I have to feel your tender touch;
I have to hear your voice;
No other one could take your place,
You're it; I have no choice.

If not for you; I'd be adrift;
I don't know what I'd do,
I'd be searching for my other half,
Incomplete, if not for you.
