Homework

Hate it.
Why it exists,
Is beyond my belief.
Torturing and stressing us out,
Homework.

Dog and Cat

Dog
Loyal, friendly
Panting, wheezing, barking
Man’s best friend, furry companion
Purring, grooming, preying
Quiet, charming
Cat

The Lottery

You won the lottery. We all did, and many do not realize just how lucky we are.
You are one in 250 million sperm cells that reached the egg.
This earth would not have been able to support life
If its orbit was slightly larger or smaller.
We are lucky enough where if we were born within
The past 99.9% of our species’ existence
Our lives would be vastly different to what we have now
And we would not enjoy our lives nearly as much.

We are lucky enough where our poor has an obesity problem
Such an idea would be laughable just a century ago!
We are lucky enough to experience life with modern machines
Helping us in our daily lives, making life more efficient.
We are lucky enough to live long enough to see our children’s children grow.
Limiting the inevitable reality of life for as long as possible

Our lives must be cherished,
The luck must be recognized.
For we cannot be more fortunate
Than to receive a life in this era.

The Buzzing Garden

Hello my dear fellow friend of summer,
Up flying gently threw the big blue sky.
Back to their homes the buzzer the hummer
The queen, the leader there, keeps a close eye.

The sweet nectar, like how a river flows
Brought with care, sent across the lake, the sea
For generations this is how it goes
How nature is, some things are meant to be.

The beauty of these creatures, oh so sweet
I can’t describe how crucial their jobs are
In saving all the flowers, one big feat
You are the most important thing by far

So when I see you come, stinger hardened,
I ask myself, why I bought a garden.
