Steven Nazanje Poem
AREN'T YOU SATISFIED?
In peaceful you came
But started playing against us like a game
Religion and your culture were established
While our god and cultural practices were discouraged
You started ruling us in our own land
Forcing us to dance your unwanted band
Your demagogues broke our unity
Then people were sold by chiefs full of brutality
Brave Africans fought for independence
Only be victors of deaths of their innocence
We visualize Africa of freedom
And we manage to get our kingdom
Now peace has come again
But from it you want to gain
By your homosexual issues, aphrodisiacs, etc. we are mystified
Aren't you satisfied?

Steven Nazanje Poem
Whenever darkness & dusty cloud engulfed,
I moved, not knowing where to step though.
Joints often failed to hold my fresh,
But I shivered to my feet.
Hope accompanied in silent moments,
When peace found no space.
Moments when quit felt to brought comfort.
Rather along the way I staggered, still hoping.
Sorrows found shelter then,
Yet I smiled, though couldn’t felt its sweetness.
‘Hearts of men shed no a tear,’
Hope breathed in my inner ear.
When at the edges of my strength, it whispered,
That the darkness was about to fade,
Morning star was about to appear.
And the eye of heaven nigh to shine
Courage alone couldn’t escort,
In those channels, that many failed to return
Neither strength nor effort,
But with hope still I live though in burn.

Steven Nazanje Poem
First gaze upon your face
Heart slowed down its pace
Jumped a little in amaze
Mind left in a daze
Studying paused
Then our eyes tossed
Prompting the heart to beat more
For a rose it can adore
Courage was gathered
Never a word to be stammered
When greeting you first in lifetime
Alas, you left amidst my plan line
Another day
Neither to delay
Nor only a wish to pass in vain
To see you again

Steven Nazanje Poem
Vividly I recall,
The first days of the year
Planning, praying and fasting for all,
For to meander I fear
Engulfed by sheer courage I invested,
In cloud of belief I worked
In anger by former uncompleted goals,
I hustled tirelessly in a stoic
Now at the bottom
But hurdle still cling to me
As I still stroll perplexicaly
With a quest for a clue, a plea to God
To suffice New Year
A whisper into my ear "life would suffice."

Steven Nazanje Poem
Hello rose
This might be a poem or a prose
To breath a pint i smelled from you with my nose
I was passing by and without my stop later would have remorse
Not of sorrow but of regret i suppose
Your sight is precious
The tender pleasing petal
The soft stigma at heart
But the aroma as the wind sigh
Is what draws this heart from a far
To stick and stay!

Steven Nazanje Poem
Speak pure truth and right
The world 'll never like your fight
Live a fake already designed life like robot
The world 'll smile 'n grade you in its cohort
Sing a song of your life with conscious
The world 'll rarely spot what it needs to focus

What plea to God would suffice New Year?
A whisper into my ear, ‘’life would suffice.”

Steven Nazanje Poem
I critic unjust with this pen
Claiming back peoples liberty while at den
I peace my mind, ride my thoughts from a spot
Until they blossom and blast love, light, laughter
....anger, sorrow and pain in keen
This pen is a len of a writer through which history can be seen
