Empty Seat

There's an empty seat
Right in front of me
I stare in disbelief

"I know the boy
who sat right here."
But now he's in the ground.

There's an empty seat
Glared at with broken eyes
No one sleeps tonight.

The Most Bitter Storm

Everything I've lost shows up in my dreams
Like some sort of resurrection
Lingering, hanging over me

Or it ever exist at all?
Did you exist at all.

I try to wash your blood from my hands,
But somehow, still, I remain stained
I try to erase your tiny, broken body from my head
But you've etched yourself into my memory.

Lucidly, I pick at thoughts of who you.....
Could have been,
Or who you tried to be,
Human. A human being.
Dead and gone.....
         A secret it seems.

Erase This Dream

She had never lived,
She had never died,
She was always a ghost,
Rotten, dead inside.

She hung from a rope,
She fell to the grave,
Her mind was all gone,
There was nothing to save.

We couldn't see it,
It hit like a train!
She left us all here,
She left nothing but pain.....

The First Time

I was just 11

Alone in my room

It all happened

Right after school

Not a razor, no

But a dull knife

Resting in my hand

It felt just right

Cut right in my arm

So many times

In a place where

My parents could easily find

It wasn't deep

There was no pain

And when they saw

There was no shame

It was just to try

Just to feel

Just to know

That I was real

But if I had known....

The hundreds after

Would I have started

This disaster?
