The Society We Live In

Who will listen to my cry?
I shout everyday, as time just goes by.
Our loving nation, has become more of a loathing nation.
The caring nation, is now more of an abandoning nation.
Am sick and tired!
But never tired to fight for our right as a nation.

Helpless children, born by street children.
No one cares, no one would ever care.
They call it man eat man society,
The society we work hard to bring about equality,
The society that forgets the most important is gender equity.
The society we work hard to bring about justice and end impunity.
The society where no one cares why you work hard.

Soon we shall fall deep into the abyss.
The abyss of no return,
The abyss where you wish you did right,
The abyss where society would be happy to see you in.
The abyss where not even a shooting star and a wish, could bring you back.

This is my cry for the right,
My cry for more equity and better equality.
But my cry for everything to always be right.
