Exam Malpractice

EXAM MALPRACTICE

We are no saints, we haven't got holiness
Yet our steps can be retraced
Everyone there where he lacks
For we're all for one and one for all

Many have been asked; they answered
Many have asked; they were answered
But if you've never been asked
And if you've never asked

Such that you never answered
And you were never answered
Haven't you ever been silent
When you should have admonished

Pal, lets devest our honour this innuendo
For by either action or inaction
We all have some sorry to say for exam malpractices
You can; I can; we can!

It's All About 'Him'

... ALL ABOUT HIM
It's all about 'him'...
This may not make sense, I write it anyway
I should have used a clearer expression, yet I chose the pronoun 'him'
Now you ask who? Now you won't forget that I wrote

But me no buts, it's no doubt about 'him'
I replace the proper 'proper noun'
Bcos alot have been said of this him
And to express mine in like terms won't sink

Every thing is about him - Jesus
Indeed all cross and crown, all tear and smile
To them that have Jesus nothing else counts
Jesus is my all in all!

Love Them Alive

LOVE THEM ALIVE...

I write with hot passionate streams rushing down my cheeks.
Have you taken out time however minuscule
To contemplate the Romeo and Juliet that set your life's stage
You ever paused to ponder the mystery of parenthood?

Genesis says man with woman leaves father’s house to become one flesh
Leaving youthfulness and peers with their vigour and fervour
They become a two that is one, a mumsy and pupman
Worst for some these have become the privation of every actual or potential good.

Have you not deemed it fit to applaud the sacrifice of parenting?
Picture your father pacing up and down a hospital pathway
Unaware of unbuttoned shirts and the in-theatre curses of his Juliet
While you kick to and fro, insisting to see our mother earth

Until our stubborn immortality bows in humility to ancient mortality
We still forget our gratias to the duo that cared and catered
Do avoid a pool of tears like mine nay you won't forgive yourself
If the only place and time you say Mum I love you, or Dad I love you is in a funeral oration

What should be our best gift to our parents?
What should be the apex of our gratitude to the organism of our existence?
In and out of season, let's never delay to say
Mummy I love you, daddy I love you!

It's What It Is

IT’S WHAT IT IS …
If every day you sleep in church; you may not know God
You are not necessarily spiritual; but you are pious
If you’ve grade 99.9%, you’re not most educated; but you’ve first class
You are what you are, and it’s what it is

When she exhibits temperance, then she is neither lustful nor concupiscent
When she’s apparently courageous, she’s neither hotheaded nor irascible
When she adds reason in action, oh yes she be prudent
She is what she is, and it’s what it is

Because he drives he is a driver
And in so far as he plays the flute, ‘flutist’ captures him
Because he plays well the inflated round leather, dub him a footballer
For that is what he is, and it’s what it is

Assuming I be easily deceived and very unintelligent; am foolish and simpleton
What if I be a schmuck or schnook, pity me for I am stupid!
Honest description depicts reality; but malevolent eulogies do not
They give either sheer flattery or mere insults; all in all, it is what it is

Yes! You’re good, because you are
You’re bad, just because you really are
Always, words may not express aptly
But come what may, it’s what it is!
