To Cut

How do you tell someone
that it feels good to cut?

It doesn't hurt

When you see the blood
Running red
Flowing from your body
You feel Alive

Cutting isn't about you
It's about me

It brings me back to life
I know it bothers you
You don't understand
Why anyone would
want to hurt themselves

It doesn't hurt
When that blade
Pierces my skin
Its liberating

Watching the blood pouring down
It's beautiful
Freeing

I'm a cutter
No I'm not proud of it
But it's part of me

I get sad for
No apparent reason

When something happens to those
around me

I blame myself

Since it's my fault
I want to harm me

It's not about you

Please understand

I don't want to hurt you
Or anyone else
who loves me

I want to feel Alive
I want to know I can Feel

I find anything that is sharp
Enough to pierce me skin
Across my skin it goes

Releasing my pain
Letting me Live

Blood draining from hidden places
Not to cause worry

I do it for me
Not for attention or the show
I get angry or sad
I feel I need to see
My Blood drain

I think I hurt you
Made you sad
I need to hurt me
To relieve some pressure

It's not about you
It's about me

I have an illness
Taking over
My rational thought

Please understand me
Help me

Just listen when I ramble
When I say I can't handle it
Know that I can't

If I could I would
Sometimes my emotions Explode

I try to hold it in
To hide it from you

Sometimes it comes out

And I know you won't understand
Why I need to see the Blood

Save Me

Save me from myself
I have a problem
I need to use
Without it I'm not me
I feel so much pain

You have the tools
Why won't you help me

I'm lost

You have it all

I have nothing

Why won't you save me?
