Friend On the Edge of Death

my heads in a spin is this happening to me,
my best friends laying dying its so painful to see,
he lays limp and lifeless as I grasp on his hand,
hes done nobody bad I just don't understand,
I darent blink I may cry il be strong just for him,
il hold back all my tears hoping this fight he will win,
he taught me to love when when my body filled with hate,
please god spare my friend It's never to late,
I read all his poetry I was taught to write well,
I can sketch a nice landscape taught by this man u give hell,
I no hes so strong and been through worse than this,
but this vunerable stranger takes over the man that I miss,
im scared when I see you petrified when I don't,
but give up on this man I definitely won't,
my heart hurts so bad seeing you lay there in pain,
a man who wont hurt no body but suffers again and again,
addiction has held you like a mum would her son,
but you are a fighter and your fights just begun,
I love you so much and im right by your side,
please be strong for me dont let them tell me you've died....
