My Pear Tree

The tree,
In my yard,
The beautiful pear tree,
Will not bare a scar,
Through all eternity.

Though it may not show it's buds,
It show how it is special.
The tree in my yard,
The pear tree,
Blossoms late,
And hibernates early,

The pear tree in my yard,
The beautiful pear tree,
Has never produced a fruit,
But it is my pear tree, it is special.
In all of it's unique ways.

This pear tree blossoms early,
This pear tree hibernates late,
This pear tree never bore a scar,
This pear tree never gave a fruit,
This pear tree is special.

This pear tree is mine.

When You Look Into the Stars

When you look into the stars,
You see their inner beauty.
When you look into the stars,
You see another world.

The stars that you see,
Are one thousand years old,
But they still stare upon us,
Young and not bold.

When you look into the stars,
All you see are the stars,
When you look into the heavens,
You see another world.

A Wave Hello and a Wave Goodbye

A Wave Hello And A Wave Goodbye
By Ashlyn Mundell

Walking on the beach,
My feet sink in the sand,
The ocean waves hello,
I wave goodbye,
And say hello another time.

Walking on the beach,
Dolphins jump just off the shore,
The ocean waves hello,
I wave goodbye,
And say hello another time.

Walking on the beach,
Water grabs my ankles,
The ocean waves hello,
I wave goodbye,
And say hello another time.

The Average Totally Normal Family

This is the family,
The completely normal family,
That lives just across the street,
With a daughter,
a son,
a mother,
and a father.
The father, like any, is a unicorn tamer.
The mother is, of course, the queen of fairies.
The son is a hunter, a hunter of wild things.
The daughter is a soccer player, for the national team.
This family is completely average and normal,
In all of their special ways,
The one thing that weird,
Is that they don't exist.

Girl On Fire

Flames, they burn
Images of death flash,
Rage in a shower of sparks,
Engaged in the fight
The girl, on fire
There is love in this girls eyes,
But mostly burned away.
But fire is her foe,
As she walks on,
Her world around her burns.
The fire shall forever rage
Till the end off time,
And shall not be put out,
Cause this girl, she's on fire.

You Can Change the World

You can change the world.
You can be an astronaut, the first to land on mars,
You can be a dancer, by far the best in the world,
You can be a lawyer, the smartest one.
You can change the world,
Just with the smallest action,
It may not be on purpose,
But you can make a difference.
You
      are
            amazing.
Everyone is counting on you
But it is not because you are the strongest,
Or the fastest,
Or the smartest.
It is because you are amazing.
Because you are yourself.
You change the world.
Make it yours.
Make it ours.

Any Girl Can Bloom --For the Contest--

A girl may be alone,
A girl may be sad.
But any girl can bloom.
Even in the darkest of darks.
You show your inner self-
Your inner self full of beauty,
And of grace.
Any girl can bloom,
You just need a bit of light-
And a drop of love.

Rainbow Colored Camouflage

I look around the corner,
And see the bold colors-
Nervous on what I'll see,
I don't know how I'll be.
The dark camouflage-
I see-
Now I wish to flee.
I will not fit in,
I look like a rainbow tin.
I will not fit in,
I look like a unicorn's barf-
I am wearing a rainbow scarf.
I will not fit in,
I am wearing rainbow camouflage.

The Fugitive

I'm innocent, I swear!
Innocent, you say,
You are the friend,
The brother,
And the rival of-
The Fugitive.
The Fugitive is the man,
The one you know best,
The one you grew up with,
Your brother,
The Fugitive.

A Child Must Learn -- Pic 4

A child must learn,
Thus he will not succeed,
A child must learn,
To write and to read.

A child is full of adventure,
When the child must learn,
He will explore the world,
With a keen sense of knowledge,
And will learn every word.

A child must learn,
To thrive and to push,
For the child you stand upon,
Is a seedling, waiting to sprout.
