Freeing the Mind

Im not even in the spot light. May be talented but the way I'm living is the cause my body rots right? You few friends, the fans read my stuff it helps you through a gloomy night. I am very talented maybe even godlike. I need to change my act and, reach a new height. I appreciate the way you call me on my wrongs. So this will not be just another one of those songs. My cousin said he spends his life afloat not drowning in a fifth of Hennessy. I think that today and wish to make a new man of me. Even though I dont drink the nasty stuff like crazy. It attacks my thought so I cannot let it faze me. This time I need to help someone and amaze "me". These cigarettes that I continue to ingest are gonna eventually spread and than infest. This body is human. I need to kill the pest. What if one day I wake up and can no longer preach. It hangs upon my lungs and voice like a leach. Kicking this will be harder than putting up with a sirens most annoying screech. If I am a revolutionary than this is a door I must breach. The government hands me these sticks and I continue to smoke. In reality to the government it makes me a joke. If I let this take me over and allow me to slowly die. How can I ever open and let my mind truly fly. I will give this my hardest try. To remain not that average guy. The greatest addiction we all have is letting corruption make us depressed. Try hard for a job and it doesn't matter how well your dressed. Give the law your greatest show. Fight with your all and go toe to toe. They don't wanna hear it don't wanna know. You simply need to only walk down the street. See homeless veterans without limbs, how do expect this man to get on his feet? Take your kid to school and hope for a great life. See others along the way beaten with scars and unimaginably bruised. Rather it be a bully, or tempered parents there simply used. Then we wonder why they shot up a school and were so short fused. Go to the mountains try to enjoy the nature and the trees. There's more buildings and the animals hide so all you hear is the silent breeze. See raids breaking out over black and white. Abraham and Martin got assassinated for us to not even attempt to see the light. You stomp upon a flag that gave the idea to see another day. Upon it are soldiers, brothers and, sisters lifeless body lay. Why do we fight each other can't we find another way? Band together in revolution and give our children a peaceful place to stay. The enemy exists inside our brain. If we let it soon we will all be left insane. Im gonna let go and attempt to relieve my pain. All that's left is mine to gain. Walk through the storm with a smile and truly feel the rain.-swp

Song For My Boy Freddy

I remember back when I was young. I was a difficult kid who spoke outta tongue.
Now I got a song that has to be sung. Wish I could go back when the school bell rung.
When you age it's only about money. Regret not going because, my nose was runny.
What bills is next the cable, or internet? Get my school work done then I'll be set.
There's so much on my plate no free time. Rainy days we would play in mud and grime.
These words and, dreams are all that's left. Gloating about my jawline, my unique cleft.
Now I worry if I will survive another rent? I'm dead broke and the moneys spent.
At least I can be happy inside this mind. Don't regret the childhood can never rewind.
My bodies unhealthy need to take my med. From inside this stomach. My kidney bled. No more soda and take away the beer. Dad needs stick around to hold my boy dear.

Oh how I hate being trapped inside the prisoners den. For you my son I'll always win.
Oh how I hate being trapped inside the prisoners den. For you my son I'll always win.
I'll shall never fall shall never cave. Just promise me. You'll never be a used up slave.
I'll shall never fall shall never cave. Just promise me. You'll never be a used up slave.

I give my all everything I possibly can. Kid your going to grow into a upstanding man.
Don't let this world tell you no you can't. It's something society will try and, plant.
There gonna tell you this is how it has to be. Forget there ideas form a beautiful tree.
Your first job won't be the only. Kick them to the curb say you will never own me.
Your my child you came from me. I already know the greatness that they will see.
Do this for yourself and not for me. Unlock your mind and, set those dreams free!

Truly Waking Up

Now tonight I cannot sleep. I dream but these dreams we reap. So is it that I can't fall into trance? Or is it these vision we only glance? If we as human beings followed through. Together we could create utopia and, truly dance. You reading this have something you kinda want. You can't kinda want and never, truly get. Even at 70 years old. There's no reason to get in that rocking chair waste your day and, sit. I don't care if I get poem of the day. If I could just alter your mind in any way. I would say my 6 hours of sleep was enough. If you truly tried your life wouldn't be so rough. You own a device that could understand a dream forget that useless stuff. I may not have money to pay my rent but, I saved a life without a single dime being spent. So if court sends me to jail an inmates minds I could set sail. Maybe not everyone will listen. I know a single troubled soul will truly glisten. I beat the system knocked on my knee. Your mind is a seed. So sprout that tree. Tell this world who your truly gonna be. A famous man said the mind has limitations. I will allow you to make the observations. They said humans could never fly. All it took was the wright brothers to ask simply why? They said we could never touch the moon. Armstrong said the earth had such a beautiful gloom. They said we could never break the sound barrier. Ask the air force about a jet carrier. They said we could never create a flying car. Ask Ford why they held that bar? The truth lies in blind sight. We need to reach a new height.

The Deserted American

If anyone can help me with work I am a single father about to collapse. No jobs anywhere around to pay rent. Which is coming up soon. Now as you all missed the rhyme king here's for you. Dark Poetry. S.W.P

I Shawn Weston Padilla die today. For your ignorance I no longer wish to stay. We live in a real world not a theatrical play. Call me a deserter I prefer it that way. You live inside a glass box where they go haha. I walk away to you idiots and, say ta ta. Get your mind in a stable state. On top of my own problems Americans throw a lot of shit on my plate. I have given up all hope. Dose america have a history in the Apocalypse i say nope. Give a shit less if you call this rhyme dope. You live in a mental hospital you can't even cope. So tie my name upon a rope.Hang it from a tree and watch it choke. Your a bit English let me call you bloke. You need to realign your morals take a different stroke.Where a criminal person a aggravated felon can take a job over me? Going in everyday begging for a job is where i don't need to be! I walk out on my country needless that I say. You all are idiots that's why i spray. Would you rather this go down in the book of are four fathers? To accept that shit it really bothers. I have given up. To give utopia america is just not enough. Now go along with your useless facebook stuff.

For My Best Friend Coral Clark

Remember how we used to sit next to each other in 7th grade. Till now you were a friend that always stayed. When others would talk about me..... You told me let go. Silence it set your yourself free. Not only were you beautiful outside. Your inside turned this man into what he was ment to be. You planted a sprout that turned into a great tree. I was a nobody that you had interest in. The place your friendship took me to made my world spin. I became this outcast just to fit in. Next thing I know you were along side. For some reason you stayed just for the ride. The innocent girl now a punk rocker. I'll hold you in my heart a unbreakable locker. God losing you hurts so bad im shaking. Know without you I wouldn't be a artist in the making. These words I write today wouldn't exist. We would say rebel make a fist!!! Even after you moved. The true friend you really proved. Made sure I was a good dad. To know your not without your makes me sad. Called my words sick. Said I was real to keep it slick. You left this world leaving a mark. Inside this chest you ignited a spark. So rest in peace. I know what you'd want. So these tears ill cease.

For the Poet Destroyer

Dear poet destroyer. Glad you liked my work. Could even call you a voyeur. I hope to sell my work, or find an employer. If you hear of someone let me know. I have a endless thought I need to show. Don't take offence to my words because, I am quite the joker. Would you believe my first dream was to be a stock broker? I have read to find you love Texas. This is where you and, I create a nexus. I was born in the city of Elpaso. Next to the Mexican border. So you can say we tie together and, share a lone star order. I was raised in enchanting New Mexico. Where in and out the Indian folks would go. Also the home of my idol billy the kid. Let you in on a secret he never was killed but, simply hid. Am I calling Pat Garrett a liar? Yes I did. Funny how history can be bought. Yet made so vivid. Life sometimes don't go quite as planned so I appreciate your time and helping hand. I have Spanish blood but, claim no brand. For I believe we are born all the same. The only difference is how we go about lifes bumpy game. Like the Indian warrior I shoot my arrow straight and true. Honored by the opportunity of getting to meet you. You share the same name of my grandmother. As for your poems there great. Let me know when you make another.

Revolution

The smartest thing I feel you can do in your time here. If you've already failed what's left to fear. You will never regret giving in to what you hold dear. I played a game with my son controlled the peddle let him steer. Against a grown man we came in first. The father son team is something only bound to burst. His opinions only give positive solutions. Like a gas mask protecting me from pollutions. Trump or Hillary will never be the answer. A steroid only leading to cancer. I have faith our generation will be the next revolution. No presidential campaign. We are the solution. Not saying everyone's about it. Only takes twenty percent to not give a shit. That's my family my people six years. 300 standing strong throwing spears. All brought by one thing true love. Stop asking we are those angels sent from above.
