In Response

In response

To your worried heart

Mind, mouth and stomach

Your busy thoughts

In response to your

Shaking hands and ill head

Your rightfully placed overreactions

You're right in placing them…pacing then

In response to your love for me

Well I cannot ignore it

So I blush and beg for it

Secretly…of course

You are my everything and I will do anything

To hush your fears

I Am Not My Mother

The most important walk
Is less then a block
And it
Means forever

A promise made with a long stride
That I'll always be by your side,
Doing wifely things
Every day and night

Cause I walked…
Well what if I ran instead
Could I still be held accountable for your happiness
Or what if I skipped

Even fell or flipped
Would the vow still make sense
It doesn’t matter I guess

I am not my mother
And divorce is just another lover
Found at the wedding dinner or the laundry mat

In fact
Lets get divorced first and see how that fares
Maybe will stay together in the end

Ode To Thee

I cannot say forget me
For that will never fly
Impossibilities
like birds without wings
Take my soul from your eyes

I cannot say forgive me
For I am not sure of my sin
I take your fair heart with a fare start and balance it on the wind.

the breath that is left
inside my heaving chest
is meant for the exultation of you.

And all that i am in spirit, on land
is spent in the loving of you.
For love as it is, as rare and as cleansed
is not a forlorn sensation.

I cannot say this is the only way,
but the direction I've paved is without the pace I know.
And the love that exists refuses to relent, like the falling snow.

Mr. Owl

Silly girl

You sit here and lick away at your enlightened lollypop

Driving him with your silent stares

Open your eyes

Beautiful portholes

Holes to your ever giving soul

A soul that doesn't exist

To you….

Eyes that spill tears that are very real

To you…

The taste, salty

The trail they leave

A temporary reminder of sadness down your cheek

Goodness, look at the time

How long does this sadness intend to last?

I'Ve Never Been Camping

Camping out
Its dark
I’ll light my flash
Let it light up the path
I wont get lost
Just
Not yet
I’m camping out
In the woods
It’s dark
I’ll whistle my song
Keeps the vampires at bay
I’ll sleep when its day

Gate Number 8

I sit and wait
For gate number 8
To open its doors and set me free

Free to what
Free to where
Free to go here and there

Breaking through the glass that encases my
Fragile mind
Free to think
About whatever I please

A bird one minute
The ocean the next
But this constant thought of you will
Never rest
And I wouldn’t want it to--it occupies my time
And keep in mind that I would have
Nothing less

The Phone Next To My Pillow

I am speechless
And you speak, less

Now

Then you did before
And your secret hasn't changed
Much

You havent changed much

You still love me as you did
Before
And your sweet words I'm fond of

They caress my ear as I listen
And your intentions dear boy are

Endless
As the love I have for you

You'Re Welcome

He thinks

Well, he tries but he can't

At least not about anything but me

Linger

I do on his mind

His body…

It trembles

His eyes

Cannot focus

He is completely mine

How submissive

And it is amazing how he waits

Uneasy

For my next word

It could drive him over the edge

He could possibly explode

Please explode

The Reaper

Creeping crawling on the floor
It’s a sound I cant ignore
He comes dragging his lame leg
The smell of hatred dancing through the air

Quickly quickly in the corner
Close your eyes and hope its over
He carries a scythe and it scrapes along floor

High pitched scratching
death in unknown octaves

Grab your knees and hold them close
Sweat and tears are the same they rush over you
A broken water main

Eyelashes splashes
Stop blinking
Heaving chest drawing him nearer
Stop breathing
Think clearer

He is the reaper
He comes tonight
To take you away
To suffer you pain

Speakeasy

You make me feel

I don't even think this could be a poem

Im just gonna speak

You make me feel like I was meant for something

Purpose…

I already knew I had one

This is probably the hardest thing ive ever had to explain

So, I already knew I had one but…what you give me is something entirely
different

Like speed

Im high on you right now

You know what…you make me frustrated

And sad and excited—comfortable and scared, a little nervous but I like it

You are the cause of my distractions

And I shiver when I know im distracting you

You make me feel focused

 Focused on you only

God..do you know what you do to me when you say im yours…

Ill let you feel one day...
