Charlotte Alexander Poem
there was one who called me lazy
the definition of lazy is
unwilling to work
to use energy
maybe its because i spend too much energy crying
stressing
too much energy goes into the feeling of dying
inside where nobody can see it
withering me from the inside out
maybe i try to hard
to make a future for myself
maybe I’m tired from jumping
over your obstacles
exhausted from running
from the voice inside my head
the one who screams at me
every sleepless night
worthless
hopeless
you won’t put up a fight
maybe i won’t fight
because i gave up
because I’m done fighting
done with fighting my entire life
boxing for who I am
wrestling for acceptance
screaming for who I want to be
maybe I’m tired with your labels
your countless lies
I don’t have to be perfect to fly
but only the perfect want me to lie
I am trying
trying to become someone
who loves there self
who doesn’t have to fight
maybe if i don’t need to fight I won’t be tired
