Hello

Hello sunshine.
Can you feel me?
I am warm like the rays of the summer's sun.
I am here to brighten your day.
Can you feel my strength?
Hello clouds
Can you understand me?
I am as grey as the concrete..
I am here to hide your sadness.
Can you feel my power?
Hello raindrops,
Can you touch me?
I am as clear as your eyes.
I am here to watch your tears,
Can you feel me?
Hello darkness,
Can you help me?
I am as dark as your mood.
I am here too hide your tears,
Can you feel me covering you?
Hello stars,
Can you see me?
I am trembling,
I am here to help you
Goodnight moon,
Can you see me?
I am as white as the winter snow,
I am here to show you beauty again.
Can you feel my presence?

Rome

A grey day in Rome...

The grey sky is hanging over us,

covering the world with a state of confusion.

People moving so quickly and carelessly,

forgetting to take time to see the beauty of life.

A sunrise, a sunset, a starry night,

or a river flowing gently...

A child playing innocently in a park,

laughing, singing, living.

An embrace, a hug to say goodbye,

or a tear running down someone's face.

Life's great moments, forgotten.

Trapped in a state of confusion,

under this grey sky hanging over us.

Everything Has Got a Story

EVERYTHING HAS GOT A STORY-ROME OCTOBER 31ST 2006

As I started to pack,
And put things away one by one;
I remembered that all these “things “ here.
Have a special place in my heart.
The first bottle of wine,
To celebrate the new house,
The first plate, bowl and glass.
Our first dinner,
I didn’t realise it could have been the last.
The shells and the rocks from every beach that I’ve seen.
The sand and little stones.
The pictures the memories.
The coins from Scotland,
The book from Sicily
And the ashtray from Greece,
The postcard from Croatia…
The pyjamas, and angel clock,
That are still hidden away,
Because the tears still fall.
The poetry I wrote for you,
The picture I took.
The birthday candles…
The wood flowers.
The posters and
 pictures,
All things on the wall….
The first Christmas tree,
The strawberry wine from Germany,
The pain and the tears,
Trapped in this now empty house for so many years.
Our first bottle of wine,
The wind chimes that blow,
If the breeze is just right,
The stars that glow on my ceiling at night.
The time is now to put them to away,
Out of sight out of my life.
The memories will fade.
I look around at this now empty place,
And realise that everything has got a story.

Guardian Angel

Guardian Angel
You are my guardian angel.
You tell me when I am in trouble,
you whisper words of wisdom
to my mind when it starts to wander.
You feed me with compliments,
you satisfy my soul.
You give me back my courage,
and help me take control.
You open your heart to love me.
You take my hand to guide me.
You never let me fall.
You are my angel,
watching over me from the sky.
You are my source of happiness,
you make me want to try.
You give me strength and courage
whenever I am lost,
You protect me from pain
and keep me out of trouble,
you give me understanding,
you never judge my mistakes.
You are the one I turn to,
when my heart gets broken again. You are the one I listen to,
You are my best friend.
You run through my soul
to cleanse it out
You take away the things
I can do without.
You are my angel
You will guide me in despair.
You are my angel
When no one else is there.

The Bet

Rome 02.2002

The Bet
Was made to end this stupid game...
If I had won;
I would have asked to see the REAL you!
I would have asked to see the man,
I first noticed at the photocopier,
one day in October.
The man that was waiting for me
outside my office,
when I got back to work.
That man that picked me up,
on a Sunday morning to go out for breakfast.
The same man that didn't want problems or complications.
I would have asked to see,
the man with a boy's smile sitting on the counter
after our first fight
making all my anger disappear in an instant
I would have asked to see the man,
that walked beside me in the rain,
and then sat and talked to me by candlelight.
The same man,
that picked me up from the airport,
after a long journey home.
the man that made me laugh,
when I wanted to cry.
the man that taught me to forget my past,
and live again.
But I lost the bet,
and maybe a little more.

Friends Like Us

Friends like us

Friends like us,

are very hard to find.

We are a rare combination,

you and I.

We've been through some rough times,

but the good times have surpassed,

we've made our memories,

for life they will last.

Our strengths keep us together.

our weaknesses make us strong.

Side by side we will conquer our fears,

and make all our dreams come true.

Friendship has a new definition;

when they talk about friends like you.

You have been my shoulder to cry on,

my hug when I was down.

I don't know how I would get through life,

if every you weren't around.

I know I have been there for you,

it is written in your eyes,

we've based our friendship on reality,

we don't tell each other lies.

I hope that when we are older,

and our lives are in full swing,

We can show our children,

the joy that true friends bring.

Unconditonal Love

Unconditional Love

I look in your eyes

and I see your pain.

You have been crying again

and you don't feel the same.

I wish I could tell you,

things will be ok,

but we both know

you won't be here one day.

Don't close the door,

please let me in.

Don't walk away from me,

because I want to stay.

By your side, I will remain.

through good times and bad times,

through laughter and pain.

We both know you won't be here forever,

and my life will never be the same.

But I will not leave you,

I will not go away,

if you let me

I will love you

unconditionally.

I know that you are hurting,

I know that you don't understand,

but I am here for you.

Live your life the way you want to,

savor every moment,

remember everyday,

don't think about your future,

just live for today.

Don't let them blame you,

for a disease you can't control.

Don't let them judge you,

or take advantage of your soul.

Don't worry about tomorrow,

cause I'll be right by your side.

If you let me,

I will love you

unconditionally.

Tell me what you are feeling,

tell me when you are scared.

Let me be there for you,

on the worst days of your life.

We both know you won't be here forever,

but for now,

I will love you

unconditionally.

Slipping Away

Slipping away...
Alone,
I watch you slip away.
Your eyes flutter open.
And then they close.
I watch you slowly;
slipping away from me.
Taking a piece of me as you go.
I see your breathing is irregular,
your heartbeat slows down.;
your pulse is weak.
You turn to me,
you open your mouth to speak,
but there is no voice.
A tear rolls down your cheek,
you lie there so still,
so calm,
so peaceful.
I watch you,
you have left me
here.

Don'T Give Up

Rome 04.2002

When you feel all alone,

and there is no one that understands you,

don’t give up.
When you are torn,

between your heart and your mind

don’t give up.
When your security gets taken away,

and you have no place left to go,

don't give up.

Don't give up on your life,

make it what you want it to be.

Don't give up on your dreams,

make them come true.

The most important thing in the world,

is not to give up on you!

Aprigliano Agosto

The sun slowly starts to melt into the horizon,

another day ends

another day of your silence.

Night will fall soon,

covering the world with its dark blanket,

hiding the tears.

The long, lonely night will take control.

The pain will be hard to manage.

The cool breeze,

will rock me gently to sleep...

I will wake again tomorrow,

to start another day.

Suffering from your silence.
