The Cosmos

The city gets bright.
Will ivory moon plummet
into frothing sea?
Death is but a path,
stars collapse
universes shrink daily,
the Earth is in the center,
then there are these crystal spheres
the sun
the moon
the planets and finally
the celestial sphere,
where the stars are
and everything has a place.
Sometimes the darkest nights
give rise to the brightest mornings.
The cosmos is also within us,
it will be music to our ears
because it will be
the quiet echo
of that moment
of our creation,
of our observable universe.

Inspire My Heart

A man's strength
can be measured by his appetites,
Trust that your longing
will leave you
and that will give you the strength.
A human being
is mortal and changeable
with desires and impulses
hopes and despairs.
The night brings no hope of escape
In these gloomy times
let us continue in the hope
of the poet's ray of light
which will vanquish the darkness,
the darkness of that time
and for always.
The world is so dark right now,
Winds whisper of high hopes,
victory is in the skies,
smile as you used to smile
and inspire my heart.

The Guardian Angel

When you have been bathed
in scented water,
when your limbs
have been caressed
by sweet oils
and your hair combed
with sandalwood,
there will be
no time for tears.
We enter the world
alone and in blood
and leave the same way,
we are born with whirlwinds
forest fires
and comets inside us,
we are born able
to sing to birds
and read clouds
and see our destiny
in grains of sand
and I'll become one with Gaia,
the Earth goddess mother.
You cannot be a beacon of hope
when you have darkness in your heart.

Twilight Memory

I felt that my existence here
was becoming a distorted
twilight memory
and without a doubt
a terrible destiny.
Those who have a memory
are able to live
in the fragile
present moment.
Understanding the truth
is your only choice,
reclaiming a dark past
to build a brighter future.
Sometimes a moment
becomes a memory
the instant it’s happening
because it is so true,
so pure and so significant
you want to capture it forever.

Wounded Souls

I know the value
of the cold light of reason
but the heart has its reasons
of which reason cannot know,
Is it Ego, a defiant show of strength?
It is the nature of man
to confuse genius
with insanity.
Every soul on Earth
charts its own destiny,
each decision tipping it
toward the light
or toward the darkness.
We are here
to ferry wounded souls
across the river of dread
until the point where
hope is dimly visible.

Escape

Life is fleeting,
death is eternal.
Escape might be your
only option
to get your life back.
Our time on Earth is short,
spend too much time
in this life
worrying about
the physical world.
If a man has lived in vain
then how trivial his life is.

Godforsaken Heart

The story of that godforsaken heart
was racing through my mind,
for those who do not remember the past
are condemned to repeat it.
The warmth of the life inside me
it gave strength and comfort
when all seemed lost.

Omen

Remorse
regrets
escape
return,
his head in his hands.
Neon lights,
it’s like it’s protecting
itself or something,
you have this look
like you're keeping
a secret or something.
Shade,
what haunts a man's mind
in the night
is what rules him.
Give a man freedom of choice
and you give him temptation.

Broken Necks

That problems of the mind
are greater still
more injurious
than a hundred
broken necks.
Clothes
smile
beating heart,
these things
are only masks
hiding the creature
beneath.

Faith

Faith,
before entering a battle
it is necessary to believe
in the reason for the fight,
if we are to have Faith in Justice
we need only to believe
in ourselves and act with Justice.
No sense in hiding
when all you're running from
is the truth.
