Summer Memories On a Farm

He is mixing blue and purple on a portrait--me
while gulping coffee
of which water fetched from an old well

A figure taking shape on canvas
Wild strokes my hair
two sparkling dots my eyes

It feels so quiet here on a so quiet farm
Amid the mirror-shine mountain ridge
Not hearing a note from a bird, nor from a rooster

Mr. Brown's head tilting, eyes narrowing
Skinny paint brush against his mustache
long ashes falling off the dying cigarette

Remember the Number: 350

Technicolor lights metallic noises split my neurons

Naked rocks replacing people's grass lawns

Thin glacier crumbling under polar bear's weight

You hear a voice rising from the carbon emission's cry:

"Put me under 350..."

" do I care?" Asked a human.

Like a cold chainsaw showing no emotions to the falling trees

Like a slaughter house thinking farm animals are amino acids anyways.

Carbon footprint is never calculated in all its facets

Let me tell you, man, the message is urgent!

Party all night watching my favorite football team

Ignore Co2 that overtakes the planet life

Why worry about acid clouds tinting the sky

As long as you can turn on your wifi?

Hey, Wake up guys, our earth is at stake!

Don't think that Martian life is in the planning

Still earth is where we dwelling

Oil and coal, two big monsters still on the loose

Solar, wind, geothermal, nuclear

the future is ours to choose.

Do you ever know or remember the number 350?? It's the most important number in the world !!

** The UPPER SAFETY LIMIT for CO2 is 350 atmospheric parts per million (ppm)

** Current CO2 level worldwide is close to 400 ppm and still going up!!!

** I Support univercity decisions of divestment from the fossil fuel companies, and support California water conservation.

Enclosure Invisible

Like a stack of overdue books
I can never finish with you
You are the designer of a love matrix
Sweetly you spread a net invisible
I am just a june bug crawling in a spider web
 entangled for life.

Dream of Dreams

I was born pure and free
Every passing birthday celebrates my perfect genes
It's not certain when things changed
I feel the growing pain
my lungs are filled with sooty particles
and brain lives in a death mansion

Drowning in studies
is the killing of my intelligence
If somehow I were reborn in outer space
I'd create Martian laws, forget the earth's

The world is craving for endless wealth
Only I miss the trees
Memories of the thriving junipers in the far woods
Are they still alive today?

In dreams i manufactured magical roses
I used them to clean the carbon prints behind humans
It's a comfort to my soul
to relieve the fear of seeing a garden without leaves
I labored hard for my wish to come true
Just for a green future can still be seen
without wearing green glasses
