The Wild Child

My past was violent.
My world was quaint.
They made me a demon,
instead of a saint.
My past was full of cruelty.
They called it love.
I only felt the darkness,
as they preached from above.
They said I was a sinner,
that I should change my ways.
Whilst I cried with fury,
I hoped, an end to my days.
They shackled my wrists,
and tried to warp my mind.
Telling me, in Gods love,
freedom I would find.
With pride and arrogance,
they did this to a child.
They tried to birth a sheep.
Born rather, an animal that is wild.

History Repeats

Society! A sad state of affairs.
Corporate, owned. The stores pushing their wares.
Politics, ambiguous. No truth found.
Majority vote. Yet, the loser, crowned.
Divided we stand. The land is not free.
Upward you rise if you have the money.
Our brightest kids, dreams never realized.
Educations cost just too super sized.
Classism, racism drives caste system.
Open your eyes. Should be "us" against "them".
Social media, engendering strife.
Corrupt media, divides like a knife.
Another empire comes to a close.
You're warning. Revolution ended those.

Carnival of Mirrors

Under a sun scorched sky,
I stood on the dust of your shores.
Before opening my eye,
to the wonder of your worlds.
Without perceiving the temple
I had entered to worship,
to your altar, I pedaled,
pleading case with trembled lip.
An apparition, desperately drifting.
Encircled streets, city's nightscape.
Your tangible soul tittilating, escaping.
Another dystopia loneliness can't escape.
Two nights, face pressed against glass.
A bordertown trapped in a globe of snow.
Society, thought kindred, destined to pass.
A weary seeker, yearning to be known.
Hope's candle, dwindling sliver of flame.
Dying of thirst, trapped in a well.
A treasure hunt with nothing to claim.
Plugged into electric dimension, no battery cell.
I sat alone, amongst the art,
and surrendered a grand sigh.
Designed to live a life, apart.
No community wagon drawn nigh.
And then a camel broke his back.
As it snapped, I took the straw.....
....and sucked Burning Man's marrow dry.
I didn't request respect. It was spoken.
I didn't beg for love. It was freely given.
I didn't see me as that bereft and broken.
So much imposed, self hate, unforgiven.
I screamed as we gathered to burn the token.
I wept deeply as my entire being was woken.
The pantheon I saw no longer exists.
The lessons learned are eternal.
I know where my true home subsists.
From my internal castle to your external.
I didn't come back
as a different man.
I just jumped the track.
Freedom has no plan.
I don't even need the desert.
I burn with every word.
I'm rusted forever, with playa dirt,
no matter where I'm at in default world.

Uncultured Pop

It's a piece ripped from myself.
Truth brutally extracted for their musing.
They plead for me to bleed often.
Because they might find it soothing.
They delight when we suffer.
Nepotistic sadistic circle of acceptance.
They worship ruin expecting perfection.
Cheering you with a muted indifference.
I see your twisted game.
A sad view that's excruciating to feel.
Greedy survivors of inward starvation.
Stripping us and tossing away the peel.
We don't pander to the pawing.
Those who do find the abyss.
Truth remains externally unfound.
To the narrow mind, an impossible gyst.
I will gush blood until I'm dust.
But I will never sacrifice for them.
I do what I do because I must;
refusing their footing to effect or condemn.
My struggle to evolve is written.
Wounds laid bare for all to see.
You think it's for you.
It's how I get a better look at me.

Sci-Fi Fantasy

Sci-fi fantasy, please come hence to me.
Show me wonder, space opera blunder.
Show the Galaxy, the worlds I must see.
A droid, a spaceship, through the stars I'll skip.
A rebel scout, to hear a wookie shout.
Oh if only! I had my fantasy!
I'd fire my laser. Wield my light saber.
I'd fly at warp speed. No rules would I heed.
I'd be a pirate. I would never quit.
Solo would envy. Faster than him, I'd be.
Even in the matrix, I'd get my kicks.
I'll take dystopian. You just say when.
Oh please! Oh please I beg! Bring forth to me.
My so well deserved, sci-fi fantasy.

Motorcycle Man

Mustached, smiling motorcycle man.
Marvelous medic. Perennial helping hand.
Stony chuckle, mainstay of Auburn clan.
Journey well. May your afterlife be grand.

True Life

Guilty of life once lived in sections,
drastically making changes.
Concessions to new obsessions,
suffering identity exchanges.
Revision life's only pattern,
inborn self considered a sin.
Wherever did the facade end,
and my actual truth begin?
Mercurial soul.
Gale force wind on fire.
Searching recklessly.
Banishing true desire.
Stunted by fear.
Cut low by local society.
Angrily relating ashamed.
Depression continually haunting me.
Loving heart protected by rage.
Angel morphed to succubus.
Ignorant of a different way.
Residual burden of distrust.
No compass showing the way.
Pilgrim of self identity.
Fractured mind's weathervane,
self destruction my proclivity.
I failed in my search.
Experienced life vainly, physically.
Blind to evolutionary growth.
Recently found enrichment, mentally.
Mistakes made youthfully, forgiven.
I look forward filled with hope.
Fortune smiled upon me.
Enlightened at the end of my rope.
If you believe in second chances,
first gift yourself one.
Explore your own depth, just once,
and you'll find life has just begun.
Presently, daily, I show for practice
on life's uncertain field.
I want the ball, as a champion should.
Sprinting forward, I'll prove what life can yield.
When mortality knocks on my crypt,
I plan on being prepared.
Living life by my own script.
Lessons learned by decisions erred.
I'll take my place amongst the stars,
having shirked mortal coil.
Ready for what is next.
To my nature, proven loyal.
Come with me on this journey.
Banish need for acceptance.
Live your life entirely.
You'll only get one chance.

Sticks and Stones

As needles on skin.
Mimic of rain on glass.
So are the razor blades,
of words without class.
As venom on tooth.
A winged creature's sting.
Of cutting knife's speech,
No good thing can bring.
As a lover's betrayal.
A friend turned foe.
Things tend to follow,
like vocabulary's blow.
As stones meant to build.
A substance from which is fed.
Take care what is chosen.
Rather, whats needed to be said.

Never Again

Man child. Mean manacle meaningless.
Painfully pondering potent powerlessness.
What and where and why the worst.
Found fear of failing. This the first.
Faced foe fist for fist.
Gaining gentlemen game gist.
Soon shattered, smoked so surely.
Error eternal, earning effects early.
Different daily dues dutifully dealt.
Alone, angered. Agony and anguish felt.
Many memories meaningfully marred.
Solemn son. Soulfully scarred.
Hiding hurt hinders healing.
Frightened, fearful fettered feeling.
Knowing now not known then.
Damage done. Never again.
Life's lessons learned of late.
Heaving heart hemming hate.

My Favorite Game

Guiled movement. A warrior's ballet.
Wiled traps confusing choice play.
Battle simulator, test of war.
Chattel, pieces. Sixteen, no more.
Tool used for general and king.
Fool recused, no victory to bring.
Equate life, game played terminally.
Satiate strife, rife with strategy.
Take care when proficiency is met.
Wake caution. Avoid cunning net.
Truly dangerous. Prediction a guess.
Duly acts, a man who plays chess.
