The Music In Us

As I press on the keys
Gently with each finger
I play passionately my piece
In a manner strong but tender

And thus sound fills the air
To my ears - a great delight!
As if I were in the heavens
As if I knew not of night

Though stars are of beauty
to which my eyes be satisfied
The light of which the day emits
Is brighter than that of starlight

But then my senses implode
by the hammers' sudden strike
The shaking, the tremors,
My body's petrified!

My heart pounds quickly!
My logical mind dies
And yet the hands move swiftly
It seems - each finger could fly!

All sorrow, all burden
Dead flowers in one garden
Somber chants of monks heard
Not the singing of a songbird!

All that pain! I am driven!
Heavy feelings - all are sunken!
'til the illusion is gone
Oh, my heart and mind be one!

And so it ends in a light stroke
Finally played the last note
Slowly I push back my seat
Then firmly stand with my two feet

Nothing has happened
t'was all in the ear
Just an imagination
of a young boy, dear

How such thoughts arrived
No man could explain
For it is the power of music
to turn us wild
or keep us tamed

A Message From a Lover

1

How I really wish that I
Could take you up to the heavens high
Not by the gloomy path of death
But by the warmth of my own breath

I'll carry you to the place of bliss
Sweet pleasure you cannot miss
That day to come, a kiss I swear,
and music shall, thus, fill the air

2

I pity those whose hearts have fled
For the joy of another's bed
Worse than war or any bloodshed
It is what brings them to the dead

To you my love, I hold my trust
Though weak are we in the call of lust
For you and I are lovers true
I'll say it again, "I love you."

3

The coldest heart is my worst fear
I pray for warmth, 'tis your voice I hear
I lament upon the inevitable test
If I offer my love, I'll give you my best

I befriended sorrow through-out the years
What'll make tomorrow if you bring me to tears?
To hold back, do not, I want you to stay
Remain in my heart 'til my very last day.

4

My love, oh, my love,
though you may be very far
My love for you will
remain like a scar

Wounded I am,
missing you from a distance
But strongly I stand,
to put temptation in resistance

No beauty can surpass my loyalty
I love you without any uncertainty
Though I live in a field of hundred flowers,
I only choose one, in which my heart desires

5

To gaze at the flawless waves of the sea
To stare at the great skies' perpetual beauty
Like a small seed planted firmly
on the ground,
The two of us shall grow gracefully
in bound

To seek our father's knowledge of the dirt
Great is the Lord's wisdom of the earth
His love for us is truly divine
I give glory to our God who made you mine!

When Midnight Comes

It's past midnight - I couldn't sleep
Is it because of the memories that haunt me deep?
Am I awakened by the horrors I could think of?
By what awaits me tomorrow which I'm afraid of?

It must stop! It must end!
This torment must cease to exist!
At least in this dark hour 'til comfort meets me
Give me peace - I need it badly!

Why doesn't my mind stop thinking?
And tie the thoughts to their leash?
Have I done something wrong?
Have I behaved poorly all along?

Merciful God, I beg of You!
Put me to rest once again this night!
You know my plans, you know my goals
Please, make everythihg right!

I am weak, my Lord, forgive me!
I am unworthy Lord, but have mercy!
Spare me once again from Your wrath
Let my eyes close 'til it's daylight... aghhh!

What is this?! What is happening?!
Such excruciating noise! I couldn't stand it!
"Wake up now. It's 10 in the morning."
"O good heavens, was it all a dream?"

The Last Hour

Cursed be the evening,
in which anger and despair
lead to mourning perpetually
under the night's chilly air

To rise when the eyes see,
the sun's gaze upon the earth
is unwishful to one who seeks rest
thousands of feet below the dirt

Forsaken he is, if that's what he felt,
Hung to the trusses by a belt
let the moment of inexistence
strike once the clock hits twelve.

Like Any Other

You were once so humble, and approachable
And every word I said to you, you could recall
But suddenly when you became famous and got the attention,
You couldn't even remember anything about me at all

You decided to be out of the house most of the time
To enjoy your bonding with your peers
But whenever I call you, because I needed you
My words only fell on deaf ears

I couldn't believe that this is actually happening
It makes me burst into tears
Should I say goodbye now? I don't know...
Maybe just let it fade through the years...
