Who Is Knocking At My Door

Who is knocking at my door?!
I wonder as I stood from the table.
Who could possibly be peeping through my peep hole
For I am puzzled.
Could it be the police to take me away?
For a crime uncommitted?
No it must be a homeless shelter
Asking for my admittance.
Lord knows we're all a bill away from that place
And a bill away from robbing a bank.
But it's quiet like a mouse and the house is still.
My imagination?
So I sit and stare at my stress on paper
And someone knocked again.
"Who is it?"
I screamed this time and yet no answer
No answer so it must be my wild imagination
Or maybe it's the government asking for more money
Making me work hard only to extort me?
Ha! What's new? I wouldn't be surprised
Maybe if I don't answer they will go away
Boom boom boom
There's the damn door again.
Can't you see I'm drowning silently in my problems?
Who is at my door bothering me this hour?
Society and their opinions?
The ones who's priorities are all mixed up?
The people who maybe actually need help?
Who is it? Who is it?!
And most of all why?
Why of all doors they came to mine?
Life is beating on me and I have bills to pay
Unless you're Opportunity go away!
3 Knocks again I get up this time
I ran so fast I almost flew to witness
Who could it possibly be
Peeping through my peep hole
Surprised I opened the door to see
Faith and Hope smiling back at me
"I thought I lost you how'd you find me?" I cried
"We received your call when you prayed"
Who was knocking at my door?
Well it was a blessing indeed.
