The Futuristic Christmas

No more suprises now christmas holds,
As day by day I’m growing old.
This I wish to confess,
Now christmas makes me pretty depressed.
I was fond of natural yule tree,
But now my grandchildren pick it from online for discount or free.
Within a seconds the remote control automatically decorates,
I fairly don’t admire this and just artlessly hate.

Even the presents are now pre-ordered,
As to make it a cinch for Santa to dish out them across the boders.
Santa has become freaky and kooky too,
He wears a glinting red coat with a sunglass blue.
Now he doesn’t ride on a sleigh,
But drives the latest fancy ferrari on each christmas day.
Guess who is the driver Dasher, Dancer, Prancer nor Vixen,
Comet ,Cupid, Donner, Oh yes its Blitzen.

Rudolph with other reindeers roaring in a hike,
Follows the car with their speedy bikes.
Now no more he says ho ho ho!
Rather heigh ho, heigh ho, heigh ho.
Santa arrives with a rocking radio beat,
For me its time to snooze when all meet him and greet.
Well yes it still snows,
But its colour keeps changing and even it glows.

Remember the old christmas tree,
Sitting around it with gifts and glee.
Once the gifts used to lay below,
But now in the air it floats and flow.
Sorry if I sound a bit rude,
But now its time to go and atleast cheerish the food.
Bye bye the age old X-mas.
Albiet its 2060, but still we wish Merry Christmas.

Omelette Au Fromage

Omelette au fromage!
It was like simply taking a risk,
In making omelette, breaking and whisk.
To drive it smoother than silk,
Add up some water or milk.

Chop, chop, chop!
Bulb onion, tomato, bell pepper, coriander and dill,
Salt ,black pepper, whip all before relaxing and chill.
Oh! Have some patience and wait till the butter melt,
As soon as it muster some heat from the hot pan felt.

Let the batter spread!
Hope nothing is left to tell,
Keep flapping untill it cooks well.
Ready! At the center sprinkle some grated cheese,
Enjoy hot while relaxing in the cool breeze.

Craked and stired,
Life is like a Omelette au fromage,
Whirl of love, anger and joy are hot served.

Wealth, Body, Soul

Wealth, body and soul,
Its all that continues to roll,
But what we choose among these as our goal.

Its wealth for sure, and status of course.
Which glister and coruscate,
So glinting and glittering,
And very much eye popping.
If I don’t hold it tight it may fly,
Always beguiling others who passes by.

Second comes the bag of bones- the body,
Walking hand in hand,
Whether its water or sand.
Only needs to be heed with little care,
So eminent it appears,
Its so pretty and rare.

I asked both to accompany me to the God’s acre,
But no one stood,
While walking, I saw back,
And everything I understood.

The one walking with me to my deathbed,
Was the last, the least,
Uncared, unloved, unnoticed,
So limp, so feeble,
It was the “Soul”.

Christmas Holiday

Last christmas was hilarity filled family holiday,
Watching India verus Australia- perfect match of the day.

On the television set score was two-one-one for nine,
But then our joy mode just switched off to injury time.

We soon forgot everything about the sport,
When a tiny ant quietly crawled inside my brother’s short.

Meanwhile cricket match got over and India lost,
And I was looking at it while designing my yule cake with frost.

Shame on me!
I was watching all this with a glee.

Let this time Bah hambug!
And may he not again struggle with any ant, insect or bugs.

*bah hambug(as used in Christmas charol movie)- let this time passes away and this person get back his holiday cheers.

Vintage Fiat Car

The best hooptie I had so far,
Was the old hoary vintage fiat car.
The heavy booming noise it used to make,
And while driving in the way it used to shake.
Rocking and rolling all through the roads,
Better than the new cars arriving from abroad.
The epoch car with huge spongy seats,
Spacious and comfortable, how well it used to treat.
Safe to drive with less fear to crash,
The latest models are now of metals which can easily be trashed.
Still remember in my dad’s old garage where it used to sleep,
Cheerful in every journey and how loud it used to beep.

Snow

Snows were GLEAN from the frost alabaster ANGEL,
Falling and flowing in the air,
                          Dancing and dazzling with glare,
With the wild winds whisk in winters.

Happiness

Happiness is the joy when shared with others,
Apples, muffins, cakes when bestowed to street children,
Poors, unhappy and the beggars .
Playing a game of humor with those sitting in upset,
Irritated or lost in anger.
Nesting a tree in the backyard during spring,
Even at times in summers.
Singing a happy song with cuckoo during the time in autumn,
So cheerish each moment which makes your heart blossom.
