Kenneth Crookshank Poem
The way you moving to the beat is crazy
Teach me how to persuade the opposite sex the way you persuade me
Spotted you from across the room movements on point and when you made it bounce to the beat
Almost went crazy the way you moving that body got me in a state of amazement
You must be unique because the way you moving that body I've never seen before
But I want pretend that I don't wanna see it again
Body movements crazy the way she make it bounce to the beat
Can I ask you a question can you teach me how to persuade the opposite sex
The way you persuade me

Kenneth Crookshank Poem
Not nowhere near a mastermind just highly inclined
To turn mental pictures into verbal masterpieces
Not really into the rap hame message want get through I'm
Gone be honest unless you got a gimmick or sell big drugs don't nobody hear you
Young black man going through the struggle don't nobody
see you
These days you gotta use social media get your followers up
but if it ain't making them dance it ain't what's up
The rap game done switched to you tube views instagram the
Hustle is likes that's how these new cats getting rich
Artist don't want record deals everybody independent
made top 10 greatest hits 2 pac didn't make the list tell
me this who had more hits
All I'm trying to say is I don't think message gets through
Scarface tell real stories if your not him or have a gimmick
Don't nobody hear Nor See you

Kenneth Crookshank Poem
Selfish is my thoughts not wanting to worry about
anyone else at anytime
Selfless is my heart not wanting anyone to fall by
Waste side
So I go out my way to brighten the day of my family
and friends
Just hoping they will never go to some of the places
I've been
You ever been on top of the world and woke up in
a mental facility
If so I've been you so rather than cry over how things
got this way
I will spend my time fighting to be better than I once was
everyday
In everyway see even when I gave up and thought I
Wouldn't make it
My heart is something PTSD or Schizophrenia couldn't
take a way

Kenneth Crookshank Poem
Cats look at me like I've changed
Nah man I didn't forget that I started out in the weed game
Until I figured out that legal money and dirty money buy the same things
And what you for getting about them streets is
The streets is a cold game
Crab in the bucket saying cats don't wanna see you get out
Or get more than them
Nobody telling on the cat with nothing
Snitching don't start until they see you getting something
The dope game
Finally came to the realization that legal money and dope money buy the same things
Not worried about fame because that's not me on a day to day basis
Try to stay low key anyways
Don't need fake freinds anyways
Old song lyrics put my way thought of getting paid many ways
Finally figured out plenty ways
Hardworking and freedom over jail time anyday
Just making sure it's the legal way
Best lesson learn legal money and dirty money buy the same things

Kenneth Crookshank Poem
No body said I changed until they saw me getting change
Now all of a sudden people remember my name
Where were you when I was on the 3900 block of Broadway begging for change
Circle of life nothing stays the same in order for it to work it has to be a constant change
No way to live without out rain
Ask a farmer no one wants all sunny days
Example for him no rain means no profit from the grain that he planted a month for the start of spring
I'm a happy man now only because I purposely act like I forgot about the pain
Check this out nobody said that I changed until they saw me getting change looked on the Web saw my instagram page realized I was getting fame now all of a sudden everybody remember my name
Where were you when I was on the 3900 block of Broadway mobile or valero begging for change hate to do this but if you don't believe ask Lil bit Walter or Harold if I must name names

Kenneth Crookshank Poem
Feel like things done changed
Went to a war fought for my country
Came home nothing was the same
Everybody knew I was different
But what happened to them
Pass me by in their car saying what happened to him
Like I'm on crack or something
Every battle I fought did it on my own
Already knew nobody owed me nothing
Diagnosed with PTSD mind want ever be back rite
50mg of respiradal every 2 weeks the only reason I act rite
Now you wanna act like you had my back all along
Where were you when I was in a asylum all alone
I guess that's the price I pay for making it home
When some of my closest battle buddies dead and gone
So I'll stand here at the position of attention
And admit I'm not the same no more
No wait I'm not sain no more
So you can leave your phony concerns at the door
Sitting here wishing for the past knowing things not
The same no more

Kenneth Crookshank Poem
Up in smoke there goes your dreams and hopes in that cloud of smoke
There goes your memory the instrument you once used to create wise quotes
There goes the hustle you used to keep from being broke
Now here comes the stress high blood pressure the cause of strokes
Was it really worth it talking about that first toke
Yeah it made you laugh but was it really a joke
Is it funny having no money wishing for the sun cause you know it's supposed to be sunny
Why they call you a dummy
why life is crummy
So I ask again was it really worth it talking about that first toke were you inhaled and as you exhaled watched it go up in smoke I'm talking about your dreams and hopes

Kenneth Crookshank Poem
Reluctant to stay in the same place I'm in today
A year from now
See I wanna grow like an oak tree
Providing shade to lay in
Depending on know one trying to stay independent
Of outside interference
Intended to take me back
To a place of darkness
To a place we're I thought less
Depending on everyone didn't wanna know
Success
So today I can say I have truly been blessed
Now my only mission from day to day is
Success
See when I thought less I was on a road of
Destruction
Started to think more
And put my life under reconstruction
Life gotta way of teaching you things
You can't learn in class
Move slow now
Not trying to let life take me fast
See I was once without cars or cash
Had to earn everything I got in the process of
Becoming a man
Reluctant to stay in the same place I'm in today
A year from now
See I wanna grow tall like an oak
Creating shade
To
Lay in

Kenneth Crookshank Poem
I'm thankful and I'm just grateful that
God found favor in me
See for a while seem like the
Demands controlled me
Had to walk the the dark in order
To get back into the light
Everyone has to take their on journey
To find out what's best for them in
Life
What works for you might not work for
Me
But one things sure nothing in the world is free
Once was in love with the root of all evil money
Just recently thought about and maybe figured out
That's why I had so many demands
It's probably not unusual for someone doing so much evil
Example went to school together played on the same team
Just because we don't wear the same color we at war with each other
I understand the black lives matter movement but that only
For others killing brother's
But what about the last twenty years of brothers killing brothers
Worried about another race hating us
But the truth is we hate each other in the struggle
Not trying to ruffle any feathers
And if I did I apologize
See I'm just glad god showed me favor
Had so many demands had no choice but to call on the
Savior
A constant race to keep each other in the struggle

Kenneth Crookshank Poem
Vision clear not that it was blurry before
Just couldn't see those things Moma tried to tell me
Always seen through the dreams the streets tried to sell me
Knowing if I didn't get the honest way
In time whatever I was doing would fail me
Not because of mediocre hustle but in time the line light would get me notice
Then cops would get warrants to jail me
Everything that glitter ain't gold that's what granny use to tell me
A constant race to Excell at something before my time on earth has passed
I'll try to better express my thoughts using poetic rhymes
Ready to get in the game skip making the playoffs go straight to winning the whole thing
Pretty slick talk for someone that's just getting in the game
If I could I would remain nameless cool on being famous
Cause then I'll you'll be wondering how many of these people here 4 me
How many people here cut the bottles or free
Old saying pressure bust pipes or make diamonds
Just trying to see what category my poetry skills fall in
