The Cat That Got the Cream

Find your ambition
Your life’s mission
To make a difference
To feel passionate
Not to hurt
To feel compassionate
Don’t give in to temptation
Follow your own path
Consult your willpower
Always have a laugh
Whets your inspiration
Cling to your dream
Find the motivation
The cat that got the cream
You can be there
It can be good
You can be achieving
Just like you should
Put yourself up there
Respect what your about
If people don’t appreciate it
Let them scream and shout
You have to take the bad
Don’t lose your aim
It comes by the bucketful
Keep playing the game
When you admit defeat
When you finally give in
You’ve lost all purpose
You’ve got to search within
It’s easy to blame yourself
It’s easy to blame the world
It’s easy to keep shouting
Until you think that you’ve been heard
But think about what your saying
About what it really means
Things aren’t as bad as you think
It’s not as bad as it seems
Stick to your aim
Stick to your dream
Find some inspiration
The cat that got the cream

Tsunami

You think you’ve got problems
So huge and so great
But then something happens
And you realise its not to late
It puts your problems in perspective
They are minor compared to others
A whole family suddenly wiped out
A sea full of sisters and brothers
The normally serene ocean
The normally peaceful beach
Ferocious sea sucked back in anger
And pounced on those in reach
Throwing its waved high
Hauling its water ahead
A path of mass destruction
A sea of loved ones dead
A woman kneels and weeps
A loved one floating by
The people united in their grief
A sea of desolation they cry
The ocean is their trade
The ocean was their friend
Their worst enemy it became
With such a tragic end

Speak

There are words you want to say
But you just can’t find the way
They are trapped inside
Your feelings hide
You’ve built yourself a shell
A wordless living hell
There is something n your mind
That you are trying hard to find
But it’s trapped inside
Your emotions hide
You know you’re going to blow
Unless you let these feelings go
You’ve got to search deep within
Or you can sing yourself a hymn
Because the good lord sees
It will bring you to your knees
Sit down and think hard
Pull out that emotional card
And read it through
Let it dawn on you

Insanity

Insanity is a conception
Based on a persons perception
For who is sane
Tell me his name
Maybe he’s got a complexion.

Sea

Entranced I stare at the powerful sea
I can feel it calling, hypnotizing me
A relaxing calm on a summers day
Or a raging ocean disrupting the bay
Taking time to appreciate nature’s powerful source
I feel myself captivated by its powerful force
Its healing is amazing in any times of despair
My head is cleared as I breathe in the sea air

Love Tree

Hot tears in my eyes ready to pour
Hurt feelings I'm trying not to explore
There is a pain in my heart and my head
Thinking of the hurtful things been said
How can something so wonderful to start
End with two lovers being torn apart
In the beginning, when the seed was planted
I felt a love that left me enchanted
From that seed I had hoped for a tree
A love that would blossom for eternity
But now my love tree is bare
The magic is no longer there

Secret Soul

Your eyes touch my soul, touch my heart
I see such a pain that it tears me apart
There’s a depth like the deep dark sea
I hear it calling, it’s dragging me
I look deep into your eyes and drown
Your emotions are raw, no need to frown
Every feeling is there for a trace
Your secret soul etched on your face

Wanderer

A worn out wanderer
Roaming the earth
To which a lost soul
Was given at birth
Many miles to travel
Many hills to climb
An endless journey
Till the end of his time
Rags on his body
Battered shoes on his feet
He feels the cold
Like he feels the heat
A blanket as a shelter
A box as a home
No valuable possessions
To take on his roam
Scavaging for food
Clasping his can
The days are endless
For this broken man

Drifting Spirit

As free as a spirit
Like the scent from a rose
Forever to drift
As far as it goes
Spreading sweet aroma
Causing happy vibes
A sense of release
Like the crashing wave tides
As free as a spirit
Like the golden summer cloud
Drifting through the sky
Enchantingly and proud
Entwining with the birds
Basking in the sun
As free as a spirit
With more drifting to be done

Evil

It’s amazing how evil is spread
Look at Hitler and Saddam Hussein
Brainwashing innocent people
Making them play their game
The people are driver by fear
After having torture thrown in their face
To scared to do anything but adore
The dictator of their race
At the beginning they must know that it’s wrong
To hurt or harm an innocent soul
But after a while the guilt wears away
The evil has full control
The poor people of his country are puppets
To play and do with as is pleased
If they don’t conform to his demands
The trigger of the gun is squeezed
Disregarded of like useless dolls
Treated like mindless slaves
Not daring to make a stand
Against the dictators evil ways
It must seem easier to side with evil
Then to be tortured for being strong
But when the evil is conquered
They may feel that decision was wrong
Their weakness will be avenged
By the people evil did not touch
They will live to regret
That evil affected them so much
