Poco a Poco

Slow and steady wins the race,
Little by little,a life builds,
Moment by moment,time walks,
Age to age,I'll grow.
Learning a little everyday.
And not spending all my time in play.
And still inside me,this rule shall dwell;
For what is worth doing is worth doing well.
I'll do well,whatever I'm to do.
Slow and steady,I'll learn to know,
The supremacy of knowledge of long ago,
The principality of wisdom of time.
And in days to come,we shall see,
That life will be better for me.

Boy Malaysia

Who is this Malaysian boy?
His style is dashing,
His eyes are beckoning.
He is the eastern boy from Nnewi,
With the hands that work all day,
Where poverty has no space.
He is the western boy from Ile-Ife,
With the reckoning personality of dignity,
Here,kingship breeds.
He is the northern boy from Daura,
With the ancestral voyage of valour,
A nature of prestige.

You'll find him in his abode,
In the central district of Kuala Lumpur,
He burns candles at both ends,
The Nigerian trait of dutifulness.
Leaving b'ami,ma'mi,Aduke and Akanni back home,
He had tears in his eyes.
Again, his face lit up with the hopes of riches and glamours.
"In the nearest years", he had said,"I'll be rich and famous".
"I'll buy mama, papa,Nwanne and Nna each,a plot of land".
"Magnificent structures will stand on each land".

"Aminatu and Aliyu will go to better schools",
"Ramatallahi will no longer be a milk-maid".
He said these when leaving the shores of his fatherland.
His kidneys are dually intact,
They are very special to him.
He has been taught the essence of hardwork.
He understands the menace of moral decadences,
And the consequences therein.
He's indeed not a drug peddler,
He is not into cybercrime,
He's only gone in search of greener pastures.

Yeshua

The perfect man from Galilee,
The son of the most high,
Born in an unusual way,
By our mother,virgin Mary.
This had been declared
From the days of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob,
That a Messiah would be born,
To save Israel and the rest of the world.
Yes,he was born,
On a beautiful cold day,
In the most peculiar way,
Cladded with glory and honour,
Messiah was adored by all.
Shepherds guarded their herds,
But could not ignore the glory shone above.
The wise men had their artifacts and treasures within,
But could not ignore the nonpareil afar.
Indeed,he is a perfect man from Galilee,
Yet,a perfect man of all.

Her Independence

Nigeria,my Nigeria,
I pray ye,
Soar like an eagle,
Don't creep like an ant.

Darby and Joan

Sweet love,sweet affection,
Though as old as ages,
Your love never fades away,
Like the morning rose, it blooms,
It never withers or dies in a day.
Like the daffodils that bloom in the garden,
Though haste away so soon,
But linger in the heart till night.

Renewal of love every minute,
Beautiful, blooming,fresh and evergreen.
Like trees planted by the rivers of waters,
Which produce new leaves when old ones wither away!
Darby and Joan,though old,
Your love stays still, till the end of time.

Momma

Through the monthly pains,
Despite the hassles of childbirth,
Yet,you were stoic,
You brought me to life!
In bringing me up,you worked tirelessly.
You placed your dutiful hands to acts,
To make ends meet.
You inculcated in me,the virtue,truthfulness.
You implanted in me,the stand of a virtuous woman;
The worth of womanhood.
Momma, you're my earth,my sun and my rains.
Keep my Momma,oh Lord!

Toil For Gains

Hands to till,
Fingers to thin,
Barns for a harvest.

The Singapore Math

How fascinating and striking.
How deep and burrowing.
How inspiring and imaginative.
How insightful and thoughtful.
How constructive and moulding.
How explanatory and crytal clear.
How indulging and exploring.
How communicative and relating.
How unique and standard.
How verbal and interactive.
The intellectual developmental
approach for every being.
Beings who best integrate in the world.
How great the Singapore Math is.

Spring Is Here

It's snowing here in the north pole.
Snowing in the thicket, snowing in the streets.
Our roofs and chimneys, subdued in its heap.
Our doors are clung to the walls
Indoors,everyone stays.
It's snowy here in the north pole.
Soon,it melts away,the snow!
And now,everywhere is bright.
Withered trees spring up alive.
On their branches ,you'll find fresh leaves.
Beautiful yellowish marigolds
Winsome purplish violets.
We hear the birds' chirping sounds
The creeping ants are out from their hidings.
A once skating arena is a clear pond.
On the streets are many,
walking briskly back to work.

Beautiful December

I see with you, great goodness for all.
Plentiful and abundant with grace.
Great touches that feel like hugs from the heavens.
The cold winter, here to chill my nerves,
The snowman, out to thrill my thoughts,
Christmas trees,lined on streets,
Jingle bells toll with sounds of joy.
Welcome,oh beautiful December!
