Good Morning Lord Jesus!

Good morning Lord Jesus,
With you I'll start my day.
Reading your word for direction,
So I can walk in your way.

To start each morning,
In prayer and meditation.
Talking and listening,
A two-way conversation.

To lay at your feet,
All that I am.
So I can be your servant,
To every child, woman, and man.

As the day goes on,
Together we will face.
Those trials and temptations,
That could bring me disgrace.

At the end of the day,
I'll take time to reflect.
Confessing my sins and failures,
Your forgiveness I'll not reject!

Where Will You Be?

The flight attendant asked;
"Can anyone fly a plane?"
She received no reply,
Her search was in vane!

The cockpit was empty,
The pilots couldn't be found.
Those left on the plane,
Were making a terrible sound!

The more they searched,
Their fear began to grow.
They noticed more empty seats,
"Where did those people go?"

The passengers couldn't believe it.
"Where can these people be?"
"Please help us God,"
Was their fearful plea!

Down the plane went,
Bursting into a fire ball.
No one was left,
The crash consumed all!

Just where will you be,
When it's your time to die?
Will you be with Satan,
And wondering why?

You can be with God,
Asking Jesus into your heart!
Confess you sin to Him,
Then from Him never depart!

Climb Every Mountain

Climb every mountain,
One step at a time.
Stay focused on Jesus,
He is your safety line.

Just as you scale the mountain,
And you search for a good grip.
Hold on tightly in faith,
So your footing doesn't slip.

Keep looking up to heaven,
As you climb the mountain face.
Stand firm on Jesus the solid rock,
He'll help you finish the race.

With the faith of a tiny mustard seed,
We can move mountains great and small.
When our troubles become mountains,
With Jesus, we can overcome them all.

Jesus is the solid rock,
The foundation on which we stand.
Fear not, He's overcome this world,
And sits at God's right hand.

I Saw the Inmate Praying

I saw the inmate down on his knees.
I could hear his wondering pleas;

"I'm only an inmate what can I do?
What kind of service can I give you?
I'm here in jail for the crimes I've done.
Who would listen to me, I can't think of one?
Tell me Lord Jesus, what can I give?
What can I do behind these walls where I live?"

The inmate looked up to see me there.
He said this was the answer to his prayer;

Let Me tell you My child, this is what I ask.
I want you to serve Me there and help with My task.
Read your Bible and spread the word.
Hold Bible studies so My message is heard.
Follow My teaching and do what I say.
Stand as My witness living the right way.
Be filled with compassion, kindness and love.
Continually pray to My Father above.
Serve Me in the jail, you can still do so much good.
Treat those who are there as your neighborhood.
Encourage and teach them to come to Me in prayer.
Be a reflection of the relationship we share.
Seek me in stillness, close your cell door.
Stay focused on Me so I can teach you more.
My child, I have not cast you away from My face!
I will always show you mercy and grace!

Memories of Christmas

Memories of Christmas through the years,
Have brought lots of laughter and many tears.
Memories of those who have gone on home,
Sometimes leave us sad and alone.
The good times that were had by all,
Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, their happy faces I recall!
The gifts that were given, the fellowship we shared,
The love we all had, showed each other we cared.
The trees were so pretty, the food, oh so good,
Sometimes we would go caroling in the neighborhood.
We would exchange gifts by drawing names,
Some would get clothes, others might get games.
The homes would be decorated with ornaments and lights,
And we would all feast on the many delights!
There would be cakes, cookies, sandwiches, pies, and punch,
Some might eat a lot, others would just munch.
Before you knew it the night would be gone,
And the wait for next year would seem so very long!
But Christmas means more than just these things,
As we remember the birth of the Christ child and the salvation He brings!
He came into this world in a meek and lowly way,
Born of a virgin and in a manger lay.
The Shephards were frightened as the angels came to say,
The great news of His birth on this special day!
Born in Bethlehem, God's only son,
Savior from our sins, He is the only one!
So as I remember the Christmas's of old,
The greatest of all, was the one the prophets foretold!

From Death On the Cross

Can you imagine, Death on a cross? Nailed to the crossbeam, All your blood loss! Your body gets heavy, Pulling at your hands. Every skeletal muscle, Stretching like rubberbands. The weight of your body, Becomes too heavy to bear. You cringe with pain, As your wounds start to tear. The suns hot rays, Just beating you down. Can't get any relief, Skin just burning brown. Left there to die, For all to see. "Please God let it end!" Is your breathless plee. Your strength is gone, Nothing more to give. The sweat and blood drips, Like sand through a sieve. After you have died, The crowd will soon go. Your body is taken down, Covered with cloths head to toe. God sent His Son, To die in this way. Bringing Him back to life, He did rise the third day! He appeared to many, So they could see. He had overcome death, From the grave, been set free! This was God's plan, For the forgiveness of our sins. We must claim Jesus as Lord, Then the salvation process begins. As you grow in Jesus, The Holy Spirit will fill you. Each day you'll see changes, As your life is made new. Soon we'll see God's promise, Of love, mercy, and grace. And one day ascend to heaven, Welcomed home to His smiling face!

I Will Carry You!

When you feel overwhelmed,
And don't know what to do.
Bring your cares to Me,
And I will carry you!

When you feel burdened,
With despair and strife.
Remember I am in you,
This is now our life!

Together we will face,
All that you go through.
I will give you strength,
And your spirit I'll renew.

No Room!

There wasn't room at the inn,
For Mary and Joseph to stay.
So our Lord Jesus was born,
And in the animal manger He lay.

The world made no room,
For our Savior to be.
Even though He was coming,
To save you and me.

In this fast paced world,
Going from here and there;
We've crowded up our lives,
Like we no longer care!

Is there no room for Jesus,
In the fast paced life you're living?
Shouldn't we make room for Him,
Because it's our sin He's forgiving?

Now slow down and examine,
Your whole life situation.
Make more room for Jesus,
Because He is your salvation!

Look back at that night,
So silent and still.
Will you make more room,
So your heart He can fill?

The Church

I walked into the church, And what did I see? Hundreds of eyes, Just looking at me. What were they thinking, What was on their mind? Was it my new face, Or judgement of some kind? The further I went, The more they did stare. Would I be accepted, Or wouldn't they care? As the service went on, Things began to change. To some I was a target, At the local shooting range! But from many there, I would get a smile. The people next to me, Just looked at me awhile. As the service ended, I stayed in the pew. Hoping that maybe, I would be greeted by a few. But as I looked around, I noticed they were gone. Everyone was in a hurry, No one stayed very long. For more than a month, I returned week after week. Only to find out that, To me they wouldn't speak! I went to find Jesus, And to grow in the Word. But it was only silence, Thats all that I heard! Where was the love, Didn't they really know? It's the Lord Jesus, Our reflection should show? Needless to say, Soon I didn't go back. Loneliness in their church, They did not lack! We must open our hearts, Greet them with a smile. Extend forgiveness and love, Now that's Jesus' style! Reference; Revelation 3: 1-9 (NLT)

Jesus Lifted Me!

I nailed my sins,
To my Lord's cross.
Leaving them there,
I suffered no loss!

The burden load I carried,
Was now so much lighter.
The life ahead of me,
Now is much brighter!

Feeling the freedom,
Of walking with Him.
Drawing strength from Jesus,
To turn away from sin.

Growing in love,
For ALL mankind.
Holding grudges no more,
In heart and mind.

Blessed by His Spirit,
Jesus lifted me!
Surrendering each day to Him,
I can live carefree!
