Intro- there was a recorded 74 murders in Boston in 2006 I wrote an poem 
showing my thoughts and feelings bout that year and the people that was taken 
away.


“74”
I walked bout 2 miles 
And 1 2 3 more people dead
I went to the store 456789 10 they got them again
I kept thinking in my head  
What’s the problem? 
Why so much drama
What can possible be wrong with people going to school or out to have fun when 
people have jobs and family to look after
11 12 13 14 more people gone
I screamed to god saying why this must go on 
Why they have to die get murdered stabbed and beaten alive
Cant they just live why theses family having to suffering and cry
15 16 17 18 19 20 more going with the others 
I’m praying so rationally hoping there won’t be more to going up yonder
21 22 23 24 
God how can u do this 
I can’t take this no more 
I can’t sleep without hearing bout another person gone
I can’t think with out seeing a picture of the dead
I can’t live without wondering is it me next
25 26 27 28 29 all down 
Can’t help to ask but why
Is it because we don’t care bout what other feel or how they think
Is it because we want to do things our ways instead of listening to what other 
have to say
30 31 32 33 I cant take it I got go I got to leave I’m trying to make it 
34 35 36 37 38 39 40 more people down 
41 42 43 I don’t know why u allows this to go on god
Why must this be?
44 45 46 47 48 49 50 people don’t make this an repeat of the 1990’s  
51 52 53 54 no no no please no more 
55 56 57 58 59 gone
60 61 62 63 64 I tried to pray I didn’t want it to happen I’m sorry for your fate
65 66 67 68 69 I told u to stop why can’t u stop …………………..70 71 7 2 73 74  
All 74 hearts stop all 74 can’t breathe all 74 cants live all 74 can’t talk all 
Why………………….
Because we didn’t use the only things we know that works best
…………………………our mind and our heart
