Sunkissed Summer Bubbles

Sun Kissed Summer Bubbles

Sun kissed summer bubbles
floating up to the sky.
The bubbles had no hint of sadness,
As we waved goodbye.
Glints of moisture
filled each and every eye.
Beauty was transparent.
We were given a hint,
as the bubbles traveled upward,
with their own shiny glint.
Thank you Lord
for our loved ones.
We know they are heaven sent.

The Rose

When I found the rose covered with vines,
I reached in to touch the velvety softness
and was stung by a bee.
I was also scratched by a thorn,
leaving a trail of blood.
I tried to draw the rose on paper
it seemed so simple, but I couldn't capture
its true beauty or the aroma on paper.

Stagnant Pools

There was no place to wade
in the stagnant pools of Corona.
The virus sank our feet into the mire.
Help was on the way, as we submerged
into the cesspool.

Dried Up Bones

Washed up, dried up,
the bones on the beach.
Having had their day,
the stars were out of reach.
Their songs had been sung,
heads were hung.
Bones were glistening on the sand,
as far as the human eye could see,
all across the land, into eternity.
