Gentle Heart

In search of a gentle heart
I crawl through the darkness
of my lonely existence.

  This heart has paid
the price of love's sweet miseries...
 wanting nothing more than to
be passed by -
left all alone to quietly heal.

Sometimes a heart
can feel pain.
Sometimes a heart can
feel loneliness and rejection.
Most of the time
the stronger heart survives.

The gentler hearts do not.
Some gentle hearts
are taken to the limit.
Gentler hearts can be
tormented and abused.
However my gentle heart
 has so much love
 to offer.

A gentle heart
is difficult to find.
A gentle heart
 embodies unconditional love.
A gentle heart embraces
a different kind of love.

Hearts...
 although gentle,
are not to be stepped upon.
A truly beating heart
should be cherished
and loved forever
by another.

Do you
have a
gentle heart?
I do.

A beating heart
for someone..

someday...

Star

STAR

You ask if there is another,
another sadder than you,
another who's soul is like yours,
if another exists like her.

No! There is no other like her.
But there is another soul,
another soul like yours,
another sadder than you.

Another longing like you,
crying like you,
praying like you,
needing like you,
and wanting like you.

I, the Star of your sky,
the one to whom you speak,
the one for whom you seek,
the one that feels your sadness.

I, the Star, the one for you,
the one that lights your night,
the one that brings you love,
I am she, the Star of your sky.

The answer lies in you,
to find this light,
to have this love,
reach for the Star...
