Upasana Saraf Poem
She loved the poetry
of Emily Bronte and Shakespeare
She brought back the words to my eyes
and their beauty to my ears.
Never will I doubt their woe
as I feel their anguish in my heart
and rue the fate of mortal beings
as from their friends they part.
Never again will time go by
without casting awhile a backward glance
On those who loved and lost, and learned
Never commit thy time to chance.

Upasana Saraf Poem
They say, Thoughts
Have immense power,
If I wish for you today
Will you come?
They say, the Voice
Of sincerity must be heeded,
If I call your name
Will you turn?
They say, Memory
Can recreate the past,
If I miss you today
Will you think of me?
They say, Dreams
Can make anything happen,
If I dream of you
Will you be reality?
I know you don’t hear me
And if I had to guess,
In the fancy of my heart
The answer is always ‘yes’.
