The Aurora Illusion

We have our differences in the shadows,
yet, act so different in the light.
Crimson shadows dance
within our dull routines.

With the moon beneath my wings,
I drink softly from the bottle.
I rehearsed this kiss a thousand times,
as archaic bridges emerge from the fog.

Come softly, butterfly...
Land upon my crooked finger.
The ebb and flow of I don't know
refills my unsure mind.

The aurora illusion,
novels of my life slowly written with light
as green and blue balloons float
away to the moon.

Remember
that fresh smell
of coffee
mixing with
the salt of
the sea?

A table for two
on the beach,
a starlit sky,
the distant whale cry.
Holding hands, a sip and a sigh.

Burning bonds and bridges,
is just another thought to dole.
I should have told you that I loved you,
instead, I've these tattooed regrets on my soul.

Her Lips Tasted Like Moonlight

Our souls connected on a higher plane,
I didn't know her first or last name,
she was definitely from Venus,
probably my twin flame.

I'll take my chances,
and put up no fight--

Oh, her lips tasted sweet
just like pure moonlight!

Saturn spun off
and sliced through space.
The solar wind couldn't wipe
the smiles from our face.

We sought out stars--
uninhabited constellations.
Quivering uncontrollably
with celestial vibrations.

A new song chimed,
I was so blown away.
She was the one,
my new Namasté!

Sound and Uncrossed Dreams

A sigh--
as strong as the
rivers' flow,
where dark pain
forces the flower.

Oh! To sleep through sound
and uncrossed
dreams.

My mind groans
for the woman
just beneath
the great horn.

The years drop off sharply
into the river,
just beneath the bridge--

to flow back to the sea.

To evaporate and come at us from a different angle...

Next time?

And Just Like the Moon

Vaguely lit
--- by the summer moon,
starlight reigns from an ancient song.

Her sweet madness, shrouded like a child's secret;
--sang to her like she were a dying friend.

Their smiles twinkled as a banana spider spun
Venus into her web.
Moon shadows planted their face
in the tall grass

as shimmering willows sent their fingers feeling.
Memories from across the centuries
came flooding back like a retreating tsunami.

Her soft touch tingled on his skin,
something even Picasso couldn't capture on canvas.
His thoughts dove into the dark depths of her eyes,
swimming in the dancing starlight.

She tossed stones through the moon's
reflection
and a million moons slow danced
the Fibbonocci.

They caught shooting stars
in their nets
and
sealed them in jars,

and just like the moon...

I hung there.

Lunar Poets

I am a
lone moon drifter--

My dreams of light
comes to life at night...

I peek up
at the moon at dawn
to realize so soon
her light is gone within
a yawn.

Strangely,
my sorrow
relies on the moonlight
tomorrow--

to get me through another day.

I've followed the winds of aspirations,
heard their sighed exasperations...

I look forward to what all
of the lunar poets have to say.

She Skips Stones Upon the Sea

Your eye's light shines like our moon, her moon...
she skips stones upon the sea--

...although we're just dancing
between the idea of shadows.

How can I hold the soul of a girl while
she's walking little stars on a string?
The night sea crashes as the moon,
at lightspeed; paints a Picasso upon every wave.

Open your celestial door and help me walk.

Sweeter words have flown,
but these are the only words I've ever known.
I'm so tired of chasing dark shadows
that disappear in the warm morning sun.

Some just wake up and walk out my door--

It makes my face grow longer as
the world turns me to face my
forty seventh winter wind.

Turtle Haiku

they don't need red rubber boots--

Haiku- When Yin Met Yang

where does the light go
when darkness tries to kiss her
