A Heart's Desire

I felt fingers.

Drumming against my chest,
Dragging down my rib cage,
Thirsty for my heart.
It chimed every time you made me feel alive.
It was a symphony. I will never deny.

I felt lips.

Each gentle touch awakened the sleeping feelings in me.
It warmed the cold cells that lost its meaning.
As it moved, giving warmth,
Forcing me to take my armor off...
I felt flowers grow, where they left a mark.

I heard a voice.

A mother's lullaby to a broken child.
An antidote for my inner cries.
It carried a breeze,
That blew away the anger in me.

I saw a mirror.

A mirror of dreams.
For I saw a Queen,
The one I wished to be.
Crowned with magnificence,
Clothed in tranquillity,
I was the woman, I wanted to be.

I felt a quake.

Shaking the towers that kept me tall.
Was I going to let my city fall ?

Oh...

It wasn't you.
The shaking faded,
The flowers gave away,
The winter crawled back in.
The light, as it's been known for,
A sign that it's the end.

A Letter To My Blessing In Disguise

When you came from the heavens to my womb,
I felt the galaxies inside you.
The first time, I saw your eyes.
A mirror of the Milky Way.
Fresh and divine.

Your voice must have once been an angel's own!
For when you spoke, it was a sound I'd never heard.
Your first word, my favorite term.
Engraved in my heart, the tattoo in my soul.

You must have met David on your way!
The bravery in your first step
Oh, I just had to pray!
I'd been given a unique gift.
Made in a gracious way.

And as your grew, I just knew
You'd make it out there.
You'll shock the world with the talents you bare.

Now you're the man you're destined to be
I'm torn apart yet so happy.
I'll will love you, for the millions to come.
My first true love, my first mystery
My first son.

The Cold Truth

The Cold Truth.

I wouldn't lie to you about how I feel.
You deserve better.
I won't kiss you because it'll feel real.
And you deserve better.
I can't give you what you're asking for,
I can't give you what you need.
But I can give you my honesty,
So take it please.
My heart doesn't stop when I hear your name,
Don't let yours so the same for me.
I'm terribly sorry.

           •••••••••

He said to me.
It knocked me away like a tree
From a harsh summer breeze.

How was I to function after something like that?

All the pieces that I've put together with the glue of my fairytale..

It's broken.

My soul..

What soul?

I am now hollow.

At least, he was honest, right?

Someone tell me that's the bright side...
