Welcome To a Brand New World, Song Version

Welcome to a brand new world

Verse 1
How are you feeling right now?
Is there still a yearning in your heart?
You're probably like, ten million or more,
praying for a brand new start

Verse 2
What happened to the world you imagined?
Where justice and peace ruled the day...
Is it merely a dream or wishful thinking,
a fantasy that leads you astray

Chorus
Welcome to a brand new world...
where evil men cannot be found
No reason to fear the nighttime,
a place where you feel safe and sound
Welcome to a brand new world!
This is not just a dream...it's reality,
joy in the heart of each boy and girl,
Welcome to a brand new world!

Verse 3
God has shown us how to love
So why is true peace elusive?
Monsters and imposters hide who they are,
they send out doves with a Judas kiss

Verse 4
It's been about two thousand years now
Praying for God's kingdom to come
Now's not the time to lose patience or faith,
it's time for God's will to be done

Chorus
Welcome to a brand new world...
where evil men cannot be found
No reason to fear the nighttime,
a place where you feel safe and sound
Welcome to a brand new world!
This is not just a dream...it's reality,
joy in the heart of each boy and girl,
Welcome to a brand new world!

Welcome to a brand new world!
Welcome to a brand new world!
Welcome to a brand new world!

repeat and fade

I Am Strong

I am strong

You may simply disregard me
with your arrogant throng
You may treat me with disrespect
I'm still here, I am strong

Why don't you like it when I succeed?
Why can't you be happy for me?
I walk on air, confidently
so, foot loose and fancy free

Just like hope and like faith
and the sureness of birdsong
I know where I belong...
I am strong

Did you want me to be shaking
so scared and all alone?
Feeling lost and so abandoned
with nowhere to call my home?

Does my happiness distress you?
Does it make you feel upset?
That I'm at peace lovin' myself
Livin' life without regret?

You may shred me with sarcasm
You can say I don't belong
You can hate me with your jealousy
But still, like iron, I'm strong

Does my confidence disturb you?
Can you not visualize?
That my words are captivating
and the crowds they mesmerize?

From ancestral farmers sowing seed
I am strong
From hardy men of faith who believed
I am strong
I'm a true wordsmith, spinning words so true
weaving and knitting, as true poets do.

Never giving in to fear or to doubt
I am strong
I know what the love of God is about
I am strong
Building on the faith my forefathers had
I encourage the weak, make their hearts glad
I'm strong
I'm strong
I'm strong

Too Good To Ever Last

Too good - to ever last suggested bpm 80

Vs1
When we first met, I never thought
that you could ever love me...
You were the brightest star shining
so high up above me...

Bridge
I loved the way you stared, with your sparkling eyes...
I loved the way you laughed, out loud until you cried...
I loved the way you moved, with such grace and finesse...
I loved the words you used, the way you'd catch your breath...

Chorus
Guess it was too good... to ever last
I knew the end was coming... but not so fast
I thought the good times... just might be enough...
I guess you got tired ...of my simple love

Vs2
I remember when you said our first kiss
gave you the shivers...
And every time that we made love,
I'd watch you gently quiver

Bridge
I loved the way you stared, with your sparkling eyes...
I loved the way you laughed, out loud until you cried...
I loved the way you moved, with such grace and finesse...
I loved the words you used, the way you'd catch your breath..

Chorus
Guess it was too good... to ever last
I knew the end was coming, but not so fast
I thought the good times, just might be enough...
I guess you got tired ...of my simple love

Postlude
Now in the heart of the night,
nightmares fade from view
Sometimes when I find peace of mind
I still... dream of you

When we first met,
I never thought that you ...
could ever love me...

Thats When I Fall Down Upon My Knees, Song Version

Updated lyrics May 19,2020 to flow better.

THAT’S WHEN I FALL DOWN UPON MY KNEES

There’s no way-
I’ll see another sunrise
My hope is gone-
as I'm contemplating my life

Prospects are bleak-
that’s just the way I’m feeling
My strength is gone-
and my will to live is fading

Here in the dark-
Even my shadow has left me
I spiral down-
into a pit of misery

That’s when I-
remember that you still love me
I kneel to pray-
and throw all my cares upon you

Chorus
That’s when I fall down upon my knees
And then I beg you Lord...
Don’t turn your face away from me
I know I’ve made a mess out of my life
Could you help me please?
When I feel like it’s the end
That’s when I fall down upon my knees

I cannot lie-
I know I’m running out of time
And I know-
that your patience is wearing thin

I must change-
if I’m ever going to save my life
Oh please dear Lord-
help me fight all my sins and win!

Chorus
That’s when I fall down upon my knees
And then I beg you Lord...
Don’t turn your face away from me
I know I’ve made a mess out of my life
Could you help me please?
When I feel like it’s the end
That’s when I fall down upon my knees

Chorus repeat

Finale
That’s when I fall down upon my knees
That’s when I fall down upon my knees

repeat and fade

My Heart Has Found a Home-Song Version

My heart has found a home (Song version)

So many years alone-
my hearts without a home
Nights were filled with fear-
my heart shed a tear

My loneliness had grown-
my hearts without a home
my foolish heart has spent-
emotions paying rent

Chorus
My heart has found a home
no need for it to roam
Love has come my way
I know that it will stay
My heart has found a home
it's home is here with you
you are it's dwelling place
love shines upon your face
my heart has found a home

Since you came to me-
your love has set me free
I see love in your eyes-
your heart now beats with mine

Lonely days are gone-
our love will stay strong
Say you'll always stay-
I need you everyday

Chorus
My heart has found a home
no need for it to roam
Love has come my way
I know that it will stay
My heart has found a home
it's home is here with you
you are it's dwelling place
love shines upon your face
my heart has found a home

repeat chorus twice fade to zero

You'Re Worthy of Love

You're worthy of love

I see the scars, you're hiding deep within
they're not visible, upon your skin
you don't even know, how you could begin
to feel worthy of love...

You've been floating away, in time and space
your pain is written, all over your face
your dignity left you, without a trace
and you don't feel worthy of love

Bridge 1
I've seen so many people, just like you
they never seem to make a fuss
the only colors you know, are black and blue
and now it's hard for you to trust

The only friends you had, have long since died
you couldn't save them all, even if you tried
now you bottle up all, your feelings inside
you don't feel worthy of love

Bridge 2
I know to you living, is not worthwhile
but I can prove that you're wrong
I know it hurts to even try to smile
cause you forgot where you belong

Some may say, that you're a little high strung
you've shed too many tears, for someone so young
don't you know that you're life has just begun
and that you're worthy of love...

oh yes you're worthy of love
you are so worthy of love

You've forgotten that, you too have worth
you're the only you, on this planet earth
just ask the loving ones, who caused your birth
they'll say...you're worthy of love
indeed you're worthy of love

welcome home my dear!
you are so worthy of love!

Hoping That It Might Be You

Hoping that it might be you

Verse 1

I've got some troubles in my life...
I'll help with yours, will you, help with mine?
"Cause I need love like everyone...
Will you be here when the day is done?
(day is done)

Verse 2

Seems, like the whole worlds in a mess...
each day gets harder, I confess...
I need someone, to help me through...
I was hoping, that it might be you!
(might be you)

Bridge 1
Try to be.... the person that I need
I'll try to be...the person that you need

Verse 3

There, are some things, I just don't like...
when, somethings wrong, but they say it's right...
So... would you share my point of view?
Or... would it, just be...too much for you?
(too much for you)

Verse 4

I've lived, a full life, made for one...
I've seen a lot, and, I've had my fun...
but now, I'm ready for, a life for two
I hope you feel...the way I do!
(the way I do)

Bridge 1
Try to be.... the person that I need
I'll try to be...the person that you need

Bridge 2

Will you be here when the day is done?
Will you share with me the setting sun?
Will you be here when the day is done?
Will you share with me the setting sun?

Verse 5

What would you do, when I'm old and grey?
Would you leave me here, or would you stay?
I'll need someone to help me through...
I was hoping that, it might be you
(might be you)

Bridge 1

Try to be.... the person that I need
I'll try to be...the person that you need

Finale

I'll need someone to help me through...
I was hoping that it might be you
Yeah, I'll need someone to help me through...
I was, hoping that it might be you

(hoping that it might be you)
(hoping that it might be you)
(hoping that it might be you)

repeat and fade

Sarcasm Bites

Lunging forward a stab to the heart,
vitriol hurled at an unsuspecting soul.
A sarcastic word or comment, thrown in jest,
tearing flesh, leaving a gaping hole.
I was only joking, ha ha, wasn't that fun?
he says to no one.
Why are you hurt?
They're only words you know,
letters put together as one.
Intentional or not, caustic words will burn,
stinging speech cannot be unstung.
Hurtful songs, once sang, cannot be unsung.
Playing the dangerous game of sarcasm,
is like shooting words in derision.
Vitreous feelings are shattered,
only causing hurtful division.
Sarcasm is not innocent child's play,
it bites, it leaves marks, that forever may remain.

Think before you speak there are always consequences to hurtful speech!

Falling Leaves, Beautiful Demise

Leaves talking, beautiful demise

If a leaf could talk, it would say, please, take your time
life is acted out in stages, every song has it's rhyme
When a leaf dies, its dynamic impressions in its flight
a stunning display of artistry, dazzling to the sight

Green turns to crimson, flaming tangerine and gold
a leaf's transforming demise is a beauty to behold
As sap runs dry, youthful vitality turns evanescent
the beauty of a leaf's demise is resplendent iridescence

A leaf's downfall, granted, is a casualty of the season
it's journey into oblivion, is transfixing beyond reason
When a leaf, takes its leave, exits gracefully the scene
We're left breathless with the vision, an event to be seen

Midnight Romance

Midnight Romance

Dusk falls quickly on cerulean skies
Day morphs from ash of roses to sable
Our love's vision flashes before my eyes
Midnight romance, like an ancient fable

Charcoal sketches meander in my mind
While jasmine-absinthe incense is burning
it's smoke, evokes passions clearly defined
porcelain skin blushes with love's yearning

Obsidian-ebony eyes that gleam
pleading to quench needy soulful desire
beckoning me to unite in the dream
willingly, I rush to put out the fire

My mind's eye sees quivering crimson lips
As love drips from ivory fingertips
