Dameon Norris Poem
Why couldn't things have just been different,
Than wishing i could just be not bent
Pain has bent my very being,
They are the things that no one are seeing
Wrapped in pain and burned alive inside,
It's ashame there is no visible knife
To show the damage down deep in,
Wishing for an angel heaven sent
Why is it they just can't get along,
How have i made it out this strong
Never been whole but i say i'm ok,
Maybe they will all see one day
That there was no surviving the scars within,
When he was growing up the world was missing
Please just stop please just get along,
Instead i cover my ears singing these songs
Hiding away from everything that there is,
Running away from the pain there is nothing to miss
Eventually the scars from within surface outside,
When everything is gone where is left for him to hide
In his mind he is cornered facing the demons alone,
What were the sins for which he has to atone
He cries tears of blood that can never be undone,
They never wiped away invisible they stained his face
Too much pain to believe in an amazing grace,
Please just stop yelling please just love each other
Because in this world we're not given another,
Please just stop and lets move on
Now everyone at school know's what's gone wrong,
Eventually he becomes so numb
And to everyone he just sounds so dumb,
It's time to get out it's time to get away
Time to start life in his very own with nothing to say,
He moves on with life but these things never fade,
The darkness appears woven in the way he was made
