Weakness

Weakness takes me apart like a blaze
Flames surround me as I lay
My weakness gives in
To the devil’s den

So many things I refuse to say
Day after day
Moments pass by like love
Float into the sky above

Weakness engulfs my rage
As I look and see an old mage
Waving his staff to the heavens
Counting by sevens

7,14,21,28
Reminds me of my first date
35,42,49,56
Reminds me of the evil’s den

Every word that comes out
Seems to have no sound
I scream at the top of my lungs
As rays hit my skin from the sun

Burning me from outside in
Turning my flesh red within
Demons sing about
About all of their doubt

As another day arrives
The 7th dies
Enrage with murderous thoughts
As another bad lung coughs

Our weakness surrounds us all
With a scary wall that stands so tall
No way out I say
As I wave away another day

Fishing With Grandpa

Long trips we would take
As we awake another day
Grab our poles and head to the lake
For this is a day we surely have to make

My grandpa puts on his lucky hat
As I look at the map
So many places to fish
So we have supper on our dish

We head out on a sunny day
With no hurtful words to say
We start the boat up right away
With nothing but sun shinning our way

I take a seat by my grandpa as he drives
Smile as we reminisce about our lives
Yep just me and my grandpa on the lake today
And everything shall go our way

Come to a slow stop
I jump up as my pole drops
With a slight swing I cast my string
Waiting for the dinner bell to ring

Starring at my bobber with hope
Hours go by without a mope
Until finally I see a little action
From my reel I feel traction

My line tightens up
As I smile and take a drink from my cup
My grandpa turns to me and smiles
“You got one there my child“?

I jump up and whip my pole to the air
As my grandpa looks at me in care
I finally hooked one
But my work isn’t done

Reel in slowly he says
As happy thoughts enter my head
Will this be my first catch
This fish is a perfect match

I finally reel in a big one
My work is done
With a smile on his face
He takes my picture just in case

Darkness

Darkness dawns upon me
With such dark I cannot see
It constricts my lungs as I breathe
As I sit in the corner and chatter my teeth

Sending prayers of happiness to the one above
Hopefully he will answer with love
To save me from my fear
Oh ,please help me dear

Thoughts of nothing within
As the night creeps to an end
All I can think about
Wants me to scream out loud

With terror among us all
We will surely fall
Unless the one from above
Spreads us with his love

He made sacrifice for us to live
And murder, suffering and pain is all we give?
Come on people try to find your heart
You and I both know your smart

You may not be as sharp as a dart
But you have the might of a lion’s heart
You cannot give in
To the feelings within

Telling you to do this and that
Its just love we lack
Just reach to the stars above
And fly like a dove

Fly to the sky
Oh so very high
Find what you have been missing
Even if it’s the loved one your kissing

Darkness is powerful
And make us bleed and drool
But light can overpower
When it’s the lord’s hour

Remember That Time

Remember the past?
When it was hard to last?
When people died left and right?
And went down with nearly a fight?

The ones who stood tall
And picked each other back up when they fall
The ones who believe in freedom
The ones who fought to keep them

They kept pushing forward
Even when people fell backwards
They heard screaming through the night
And heard words of fight

When the sun nearly rose
They had to get back on their toes
Only to walk head on into death
Everyone had words of distress

They would unfold their little blankets to sleep
“I hope I get home alive” they weep
As ones who struggle to carry on
Its their knees they fall upon

Crying tears of happiness to hold their loved ones again
Only to have their thoughts taken away from them
As the fire of guns ring in their head
And killed that guys best friend named Fred

Sirens of emergency ring
Our troops in green
Forward march ahead
In remembrance of that guy Fred

Victory they sing
As jolly bells ring
Time to go home guys
Thanks for letting our flag fly

Happy Birthday Mom

I had no money to get you something
But that don’t mean you’re nothing
You’re the birthday girl
The best mom in the world
Many years spent with smiles
There were very little denials
I’m glad you are my mother
The days we spend hugging one another
Your birthday is a very special day
No matter what anyone does say
No money to get you a gift
Instead I write a poem to give you a lift
There is not a day that goes by
When I wish you weren’t by my side
As I get older year by year
Always know I’m here if you need a cheer
I hope your birthday brings lots of joy
I’m so proud to be your boy

Memories

The memories we shared together
Long talks and bird feathers
We used to sit outside on the porch
Laugh and smile as if no remorse

Those days became shorter
And long nights I cried for her
I used to run to her house after school
Listen to her stories as I sat on the stool

Reminisce of the times we had
And talks of the world being flat
The stories she told
Was like a new beginning unfold

She grew up in a place of great evil
But no one would believe her
Until the true story was recovered
And most were of her

She lived a long life
Through the bitter night
I was her glowing light
Until fear overpowered with great might

I will never forget her
If only there was a cure
 I gripped her tightly
And kissed her head lightly

Felt as her hands slipped away
And the night turned to day
I look to the heavens above
And send her lots of love

She was the blood in my veins
And the nice nights it would rain
I visit her as much as I can
Because I will always be her number one fan

Veterans of the Usa

the flag that flies above our head
was put there by the people who are dead
you know, the veterans of the usa
the ones YOU seem to forget about everyday

they went to war for years at a time
and they barely even got a dime
come on people, you are here because of them
this is not pretend

your lives are free
even since you were three
these men were brave
and it was freedom that they crave

as the men and women enter the battlefield
with the guns they weild
all they could think about was their life
their hearts beat as they grip their knife

all they heard were bullets fly
would this be their last goodbye?
will i never see them again?
the love, family and friends
 could this be the end?

as the brave soldiers marched along
they sang this song....

"left, left, left right left....left...left left right left....we fight for freedom, lets defend this
kingdom...the
flag that flies above our heads....red, white, and blue...these colors are
TRUE!!!!..... lord grip our
hearts and give us strength to win this fight for freedom and save this wonderful
kingdom"

the sounds of 100,000 men and women
with different thoughts within
medics stand by
waiting for the next to die

and we sit at home
some as still as a gnome
people listen to the news
and some people sit and play depressing blues

another man dies
another bullet flies
bombs left and right
oh please STOP this might!!!

loved ones falling on the feild
with a picture of their loved ones in their hand they weild
another one digs a grave
for the ones who were brave

Hey Grandma Thank You

hey grandma, i want you to know
that you surely know im still here below
i will never forget the lonely nights
when you were there to turn off the lights

you lived through the holocaust
how many peices of your heart did that cost?
you looked up in the bright blue sky
when the ones around you died

you were very strong and brave
the times it was food you crave
you took a deep breathe and shut your eyes
wishing time would just fly by

letting go of all you know
going to bed with dead ones below
just thinking in your mind
oh why, cant i just go blind

seeing the dead all around
and people hitting the cold ground
the "angel of death" looks from afar
waiting for new twins to tear apart

why did you have to leave
and left me these tears of grief
i wanted to know more
of the life you lived behind hells doors

I Am Who I Am

The past made me who I am today
I hope you like it that way
I would never cheat on you
Or hate anything you do
I may be annoying at times
But I tell no lies
I have my ups and downs
Sometimes I act like a clown
Sometimes I just want to be alone
Just drive and shut off my phone
I may be upset some days
The past made me this way
Ever since I met you
I love everything you do
I wake up with a smile
Your number 1 on the speed dial
I can come to you for anything
And talk to you about everything
You helped me fight my past
My love for you will always last
I smile when I hear your voice
With me you have a choice
You know I will never push you around
That’s just not where love is found
Every time I look into your eyes
My feelings for you I just can’t hide
You don’t have to buy me stuff
My love for you is tough
I am happy just to hold you when I can
I am your number one fan
I talk about you day and night
I always smile when I say your name

Maybe

It’s almost been 2 months for us now
You may ask yourself how?
Great communication is the key
I am happy you agree
Crying on each other shoulders
God, I love it when I hold her
We have been through good and bad
I hate it when you’re sad
I count the minutes till I see you again
My love for you is NOT pretend
I think about you 24/7
It’s like you came from the heavens
I love it when we just hold hands
Or long walks in the sand
Or maybe long night looking at the stars
Or maybe long trips in the car
Or maybe a movie tonight
Or maybe watching the sun light
Or maybe a romantic dinner for two
Baby, with you there is nothing to lose
The one thing I want you to always remember
No matter how rough it is please never surrender
