The Seven Wonders of the World

The Seven Wonders of the World

The real seven wonders were not built by hand, nor bought by any man
The Seven Wonders of the World, indeed, much more splendid & grand

The real seven wonders are part of every woman and every man
Given to us from God, part of His great abiding plan

To see
To touch
To hear
To taste
To feel
To laugh
To love

Oh that we may notice these wonders and recognize God’s love
He has given these wonders to teach us, as He reaches from above

The Seven Wonders of the World, exist in us each day
Let us live our lives in fullness & wonder, in every given way

Life's a Lot Like Baseball

“Life’s A Lot Like Baseball”

Life’s a lot like baseball, neither is a simple game.
Each is filled with the stuff of life.
Both, so much the same.
Complete with hard work and training, nearly every day.
In each, one learns to catch and throw;
and taking bases along the way.

Everyone is a baseball player;
whether on shortstop, in the dugout or at the pitcher’s mound.
It doesn’t really matter where we are
as long as we are team players, dedicated all around.

Sometimes we catch the balls;sometimes we may miss.
But everything’s A-OK, as long as we try again even if the crowd boos a hiss.
Every once in a while, when we're batting well,
we may even hit a desired home run.
Life seems so good; such a celebration time,
filled with much laughter and fun.

When we strike out, we need to remember…
Not all is lost; we’re still part of a great world team.
If we are down on ourselves for not playing well,
we just need to try again,
because the game is never as bad as it seems.

When we are mad or disappointed with other players,
we need to give them the benefit of the doubt.
They could be struggling with problems unseen,
and we wouldn’t want to wrongly shout, “You’re Out”!

Sometimes we might attend a game
to encourage or watch others play.
It could be family, friends or anyone,
we are there to encourage and inspire them on their way.

Yes, life is a lot like baseball;
with its seasons, players and teams ever changing, as its always been.

Remember though, we are all in this together,

to support,

to cheer,

to win!

Ability In Disability

Disabilities are within and without
In this truth, there is no doubt
This gives us all something to think about

Let us not gape at others and stare
Let us look at ourselves and study with care
We will find our own disabilities there

Let us spend time improving ourselves
Looking to God for our strength and our health
This ability will lead to eternal treasures of wealth

Cookies-Food For Thought

Cookies -
Why can’t I have the chocolate one
I want more
She took my cookie
Hers is bigger than mine
I want to trade
That’s not fair

Thank you for the cookie
I love you
Thanks for all you do for me
I am satisfied
This is good
I am loved

Master Carpenter

Jesus is the Master carpenter
He builds me from inside

He hammers me when needed
So I will open up my eyes

He saws a little here and there
As He loves and shows He cares

He’s building something wonderful
As He constructs and as He tears

The beauty only He does know
As He’s the Master at His skill

Only time will tell and show
As I give my heart and will

Bitter Or Better

Bitter or better,
Which one do you choose, I ask?

Do you choose to make or break,
Life’s challenges and tasks?

Will I be bitter or better?
Is a question we all must ask.

It’s a choice for everyone,
An eternal test to pass.

Aspiring Inspiration

I aspire to be inspired
As much as
I am inspired to aspire

Self Discovery

Every outside element
Each one holds inside
Whether fiery hot
Or
Icy cold snow
We must learn to temperate
For in this self discovery
Our true character will show

Living and Dying To Live

We are all living and dying a little every day
What a profound yet simple thought I’d say
Sensing every breath, feeling every heartbeats sway
Eternally learning to live, through His grace we'll find our way
