One Night Stand

The cocktails were pricy,
but easy to consume
Body language said it all
and invited me up to your room.

Names are not important,
no words will be spoken.
We play the game of strangers
and hope no hearts will be broken.

Our clothes are all crinkled
and laying on the floor,
Your touch leaves me breathless,
yet I'm still gasping for more.

Fantasies turning into reality,
dreams coming true.
Pleasure invades me,
my climax you persue.

Our bodies entangled,
our senses on fire.
One night of passion,
fuelling a deep burning desire.

Feeling Something Real

Warm inclinations,
One off conversations,
Unquestioned accusations,
Endless limitations.

Frustrating drama,
Devastating karma,
Countless lies,
Tearful goodbyes.

Hidden treasures,
Forgotten pleasures,
Forbidden temptation,
Lost in translation,
Blind realisation.

Unchartered oceans,
Half cocked notions,
Chance meeting,
Designated seating,
Bank balance depleting.

Emotional prostitution,
Computer revolution,
Positive solutions,
New year resolutions.

No Place Left To Go....

My mind has nowhere to wander,
No thoughts left to ponder,
My emotions starting to squander.
And I have no place left to go.

All of my dreams are shattered,
I no longer feel all that flattered,
My brain is far too scattered.
And I have no place left to go.

I'm standing here on shakey ground,
Feeling lost and longing to be found,
Maybe I've already drowned..
And I have no place left to go.

I live in the past, hoping for change,
Wishing for the second I no longer feel strange,
Do you know of a life I could trade and exchange.
But I have no place left to go?

My ego can't take another bruise,
What other options can I choose?
I didn't play this game to lose.
But I have no place left to go?

Wake Up Call.

Music floods the speakers,
soft lighting dims the room.
A bourbon bottle lazes the table,
my pyjama's become my costume.

I pretend that I'm happy,
I force a winning smile.
Out comes the weed,
And I zone out for a while.

Some days are different,
they're not all the same.
Life is falling to pieces
And I've run out of people to blame.

Secret Life of Us

We dare to dream, believe, acheive, receive
Our lives we evaluate, contemplate, recreate
Endlessly seeking validation, destination, admiration, expectation
Using our imaginations, Succombing to lifes' sweet temptations
Surrounded with lies, disguise, your demise, no surprise.

To the New Year

Our goals are simple and easy to acheive
Anything is possible as long as we believe

We'll live our lives free, with no reservations
Spur of the moment, without any hesitations

This year will be better, things have to improve
We'll buy a new house and take that exciting move

We'll walk down the aisle surrounded by friends
Totally spoil ourselves and indulge in the latest trends

At the end of next year we'll look back and say
We did it baby, good things actually came our way

We'll finish the year with an ear to ear smile
Everything we've been through will finally become worthwhile.

Spotlight

Spontaniously thrust into the spotlight,
Cautiously catering to your delight,
Who's turn to keep me warm tonight...?

Finger pointing whispers surrounded the room,
Far fetched gossip I soon will consume...
Insults directed at me or at least I presume

You held my hand and led me through,
Kept me sheltered from the critical review
I escaped inside my endless thoughts of you

It's not my name in lights I desire,
or to be a lead singer of an orchastrated choir
It was you I wanted all along,
Would you like to dance, they're playing our song....
